This one I'd already picked a title for and everything. I liked it and all, but I just never wrote more, so I didn't want to post it on here and give people false hope that more was coming. So...here it is. C:

No one seemed to notice the little boy walking down the side of the road with blood all over him. No one seemed to even acknowledge him as he limped through the cold snow, bleeding from his right arm.

Finally, a young American couple whom had been site-seeing in Russia saw him and pulled over.

“Are you okay?” A sweet blonde woman asked out the rolled down window. The little boy just stood there and stared at her with cold eyes and shook his head once. The woman took a closer look at him. “Oh my God! Richard!” The blonde woman yelled to her husband. “He's bleeding! We need to get him to the hospital!” Richard, the woman's apparent husband, nodded and jumped out of the car, scooping up the boy and taking him to the nearest hospital.

Neither of the Americans spoke Russian, so they had to signal for a doctor and hope for the best. When they finally got the attention of a nurse, she rushed into a room in the back and came out with a younger man in a white lab coat. He said something that was more than likely a greeting and took the little boy out of Richard's hands. He waved for the couple to follow him as he rushed into a medical room to tend to the boys wounds.

No one knew what had happened to the boy that night except the boy himself. Soon after the boy got better, the American couple decided to take him in as their own and take him to America, their home, so he could start a new life. Never thinking for a second that maybe the little boy didn't want a new life...

Maybe he didn't want a life at all.

Ch. 1

“Blake, Honey, we're home!” My mother shouted from downstairs. I sighed and got out of bed, pulling a snug black t-shirt over my bare chest and a pair of sweats over my boxers. Heading downstairs, I took a deep breath, ran a hand through my jet black hair, and faced my parents.

“Mom! Dad! Hey! How are you?” I asked, wincing as a stream of light peeked through the curtains.

“We're just wonderful, Honey! How is my baby boy?” I give Mom a hug and a kiss on the cheek watching as Dad winces when I do the same to him. I ignore the gesture. If he still can't accept me, fine. Doesn't matter to me anyway.

“I'm fantastic! Florida's a really nice place.” I say as my mother claps her hands together. Dad looks around uncomfortably.

“So,” Dad starts, looking towards the stairs. “anyone...up there?” I laugh, and place a hand on his shoulder.

“No, Dad,” I say smiling. “I don't have a boyfriend.” He sighs in relief as Mom gives him 'the look'.

“But it wouldn't matter if he did have a boyfriend upstairs, would it?” Mom asks in her fake happy voice.

Dad just sighs again and waves her off. Mom looks over at me apologetically.

“Doesn't matter.” I mumble to her, looking down at my feet. “I didn't expect him to have changed his mind anyway...He kicked me out for a reason.”

Mom frowns as Dad shuffles uncomfortably, making Mom glare at him in response.

“You know what,” Mom says, glancing at me then at my father.”Why don't your father and I go have Breakfast at the cute little cafe down the street, and when we come back we can go somewhere and spend some quality time together.” I nod and watch as Dad does the same. Both of us knowing he's going to be getting quite the talk when they're at the cafe.
