Alex's POV

I ran my hands through her hair as she slept peacefully on my chest. I still couldn't believe I actually proposed to her just a few days ago. I was really making that step in my life and soon would be making an even bigger one when that time came to build our family. She was just everything I every wanted. Everything I ever could have imagined. She was the one that could make my day ten times better by just smiling.

*flashback*

Alex: "I need a ring that says you're the only one that matters. The only one that makes me a better me. The one I will love forever."

Jeweler: "I have a very nice collection just for that special woman."

Tucker: "This one is nice bro."

He picked up a ring that caught the light from all angles. It was beautiful and I had to agree with my brother. After looking at all of them, we ended up picking the first one.

Jeweler: "Now this one is going for 36k. I've had a lot of people step down from this one *gco*"

Alex: "My wife is worth it. I want it."

After about a hour or so, I had the ring in my possession and now I had to figure out how to propose.

Tucker: "So now that you got the ring, what's your next step?"

We were sitting at the kitchen counter and I was just admiring this ring.

Alex: "I have to talk to Dad and her dad now. That's first thing first. After that, I'll figure out how to propose."

I was one of those people who wanted the father's blessing. I didn't want to do it if he didn't approve. Tuck and I left my house and went to our parents' house first.

Alayna: "Daddy!"

She ran up to Tuck as we walked into the house.

Tucker: "Hey, bug!" He picked her up and kissed her. "Where is Nana?"

Alayna: "In the kitchen with auntie Kim and auntie Joan."

We walked into the kitchen and was greeted by the women cooking and laughing.

Alex: "A kitchen full of beautiful women." I walked over to them and hugged each one, planting a kiss on their cheeks.

Auntie J: "Well hey strangers!"

Auntie K: "Just as handsome as y'all always been."

Tucker: "And you ladies never age," he said as he hugged and kissed them as well.

Mrs. Yung: "You came to get Lay?"

Alayna: "I'm not ready to go yet Nana! I still want to play with my cousins."
