"Alright, I've got it down to three," Raquel called out to Becky. She looked down at the piece of paper that sat down on her desk. On the paper was a long list of names written in pencil, a list of basically every boy Raquel knows. She was trying to find out who to ask to be her bodyguard. Slowly, her and Becky had been chipping away at it, eliminating guys who were creepy, lived to far away, or was untrustworthy, crossing off each one with her red pen. They had finally narrowed it down to three.

Becky walked in from the kitchen, a cookie crammed in her mouth, a second one in one hand and a glass of milk in the other. She handed the second cookie to Raquel and took her cookie out of her mouth. "Who are the finalists," she asked, looking over Raquel's shoulder at the list.

"Jason, my sister's boyfriend," Raquel started, naming off the first name on the list.

"Definitely not," Becky interjected, "he's tall and muscular, but using your sister's boyfriend to pose as yours is always a recipe for disaster."

Raquel nodded in agreement and crossed the name off with a stroke of her pen. "Alright, Joey from downstairs," she said, reading off the next name.

"Doesn't he have a crush on you," Becky asked, double-checking her facts.

"Yeeees," Raquel admitted slowly, blushing; she didn't like to be reminded.

"Why wasn't he taken out with the creepers," Becky exclaimed before swallowing some of the milk.

"Joey is not a creep," Raquel argued, defending her old childhood friend. She had known Joey for a long time, longer than even Becky, and the two had been fairly close. It wasn't until recently that Raquel found out that Joey had a huge crush on her. Now their relationship was really awkward. Despite that though, he would be a good bodyguard since he was really tall and looked tough even though he really wasn't.

"Any guy who has a crush on you is a creep," Becky informed Raquel very matter-of-factly.

"Geez, thanks," Raquel said sarcastically. She took a bite of her cookie and yanked the glass of milk from Becky's hand. Raquel took a quick drink from the cup and placed it on her desk.

"Not like that," Becky defended herself, correcting Raquel's understanding. "In this situation, a creep is anyone who would be creepy or awkward to walk alone with."

"Oh, I see," Raquel remarked, nodding her head with a fake face of innocence. "So that takes Joey off my list."

"Most definitely," agreed Becky, "double cross off his name." Raquel obeyed her friend's order smiling at her. "Alright who's left," she asked.

"Johny, the guy we were in the play with," Raquel informed her.

"The one who played the antagonist," Becky checked.

"Yep, that's the one," Raquel confirmed, smiling at the memories of the play.

"I guess he'll do," Becky said thoughtfully. "He's not that good looking."

"Since when do we care about looks," Raquel exclaimed, looking up at her best friend sternly. "Johny is a good guy, honorable, funny, and all that stuff. He is fairly big, of course he isn't terribly intimidating. Plus he's an actor, so he'll do a good job at pretending to be my boyfriend in such situations."

Becky nodded her head as she listened to Raquel's list. "And he doesn't have a crush on you," she inquired.

"Oh,no, not at all," Raquel quickly answered. Not once during her whole aquaintence with him had he shown any special interest in her.

Becky stood, thoughtfully staring out the window for a long time. "He is quite a flirt," she recalled, pointing out a flaw.

"Never towards me," Raquel argued. "Becky, he's our last option. He knows his limits, I think he'll work."

Becky sighed and gave in. "Alright, we'll try him, you got his number?"

Raquel nodded and stood up, going over to the bed where her phone lied. She didn't understand why Becky was so reluctant, of course she always was protective of her. Grasping her phone, Raquel felt strangely giddy, she probably was just excited to talk with her old cast member, he was a fun person to hang out with.
