Chapter 3

Party Crashed?

Trevor and I screamed with terror. The creature was hideous. We saw its arms move. It opened the window ready to come inside. Trevor and I screamed some more. I was about ready to run when I heard laughing.

“Tyler” I said. Tyler removed the ugly mask from his head still laughing hysterically.

“You guys are so gay!” he shouted. Trevor got up looking very embarrassed.

“Get out of my house Tyler!” I screamed.

“Friendly, aren’t we?” Tyler replied in very sarcastic tone.

“What are you doing here Tyler?” Trevor asked.

“Well, I was just a Rachel’s house” Tyler started.

“That’s a lie!” I shouted.

“No, I’m serious” Tyler said. He put on a fake serious face, then went back to a smile. “She was throwing a party that you two dweebs weren’t invited too” Tyler laughed.

“She was not” I said. “She would have invited us too.”

“Well, we were to busy kissing for her to notice you two weren’t there.” Tyler snickered.

I knew he was lying about the whole thing. He always made up lies to make people mad. Tyler had his fun already so he should have left, but he’ll never give up.

“Tyler, are you going to ruin our whole fall break?” I asked.

“Of course” replied Tyler smiling. “I have some other people to deal with so I may not beat you up every day though.”

“What a relief” Trevor said sarcastically.

Tyler headed towards Trevor who just about squealed. Trevor was a coward when it came to dealing with Tyler. Trevor grabbed a Nerf gun and aimed it at Tyler. Tyler laughed like a maniac. Trevor didn’t hesitate though, he cocked the gun and pulled the trigger. Tyler was to busy laughing to notice a Nerf dart flying towards his head. The dart hit Tyler straight in the eye, which caused him to stop laughing. Tyler glared down at Trevor.

“Oh, you’re gonna get it now, punk!”

Tyler lunged towards the terrified Trevor. I instantly jumped in front of Tyler.

“Tyler, cut it out! You’ve had enough fun for the night.”

“Oh, have I?” Tyler said. He pushed me back against one of my walls. I saw him bail his right hand in his fist. I knew he was going to punch me, hard. I didn’t know why he loved beating people up so much. The only thing you gain out of that is fear from other people. I had to come up with something to stop him. Tyler raised his fist in the air.

“Tyler, do you know who lives in that house across from me?” I blurted out. I couldn’t think of anything else at the moment.

“Huh?” Tyler said. He loosened his grip on me. He looked out the window. “I don’t know” he said. “Me and my boys egg that place all the time.” By boys I assume he meant his friends. They were all like Tyler. I haven’t met many of the others, but I know they’re not friendly.

“Actually, you know what I heard” Tyler started to tell us. He voice got very secretive when he said that. Almost like he was going to tell us secret government information.

“What?” Trevor asked. We were both interested in what he had to say. He leaned in close to us.

“They say something happened in that house about a hundred years ago” Tyler said in a mysterious voice.

“What happened?” Trevor asked eagerly.

“If you shut I’ll tell you, dork!” Tyler yelled at Trevor. Trevor did what Tyler told him. “Some people say that a man use to live in that house. He use to be fine until...” Tyler’s voice drifted off.

“Until what?” I asked quietly.

“Until he died” Tyler said.

“How did he die?” Trevor asked.

“I’m not sure about that part. Some say he was murdered. I think it was a curse” Tyler said.

“A curse?” Trevor repeated.

“Yeah, a curse. They say his old house was built on the grave of a old witch. They say that the witch murdered him. She hacked his body with an axe. His spirit is still there though. Over at that house, and you know what he does to anyone who goes there?” Tyler questioned us with a menacing voice.

“What?” Trevor replied deep into the story.

“He kills them!” Tyler yelled tackling Trevor to the ground. Trevor yelled and fought trying to get Tyler off him. I tried to pull Tyler off of Trevor but he just pushed me aside and I fell back against the floor.

“Get off me!” Trevor yelled. Tyler now had Trevor’s hands behind his back and was sitting on him. He was laughing over his success.

“Say uncle!” Tyler demanded.

“Uncle” Trevor replied in a small voice.

“Louder!” Tyler screamed.

“Uncle!” Trevor wailed. “Uncle! Uncle! Uncle!”

“That’s more like it” Tyler said smiling. He gave Trevor a wet willie before getting up.

“While I better get going. I got big plans for tonight” Tyler said. I didn’t want to know what he was going to do for the rest of his night.

Trevor got off the ground and wiped his ear with his hand.

“Later dorks” Tyler said before grabbing his mask, a box of our candy, and climbing back out the window. I went to the window and slammed it shut.

“I hope he falls out of that tree” Trevor muttered.

“Yeah, that Tyler is such a jerk. Just cause he’s stronger he can do whatever he wants” I said. We both knew that was true. After that we decided to call it a night. We were gonna watch a scary movie, but Me and Trevor had enough scares for the night.

“Do you think that story was true?” Trevor asked me.

“No, let’s go to sleep” I told him. We both tried going to sleep, but both of us still had that story stuck in our heads. Could it be true?
