Timeskip a few days...

~Mecha/Laken's PoV~

It's been a few days since I had killed anyone so I decided to go ahead and take my leave... But not after asking if anyone needed anything, which no one did, so I grabbed my tool belt, my scarf, and my machete. I made my way out the door and navigated my way through the tall leaf-bearing trees as the wind caused them to sway. I was making my way towards a house I had been looking at for quite a while now. I don't know why but the house kind of... just... pulled me towards it, causing me to take interest in the family and their home.

"What is so special about this house...?" I asked myself as my feet softly made contact with their back porch. I didn't hear any sounds coming from behind the door, so I reached my hand to the pocket on my tool belt that had my lock pick in it, wrapped my fingers around the small metal objects and proceeded to unlock the door. After successfully unlocking the door, I started heading to what I thought was the way to the parents bedroom... I ended up in the kitchen to say the least ._. As I was turning around to check the rest of the house, I surprisingly heard a soft whimpering sound coming from behind the door in the kitchen. "Must be the basement..." I whispered softly as I tuned the knob slightly, hearing the click of the door opening.

As I made my way down the creaking steps, I stumbled upon a small child, severely injured on the dirt-covered concrete floor of the room. She had heavily bruised porcelain skin and bandages over her eyes, one side that seemed had soaked up a great amount of blood. She wore a tattered dress, covered in dried blood and other fluids, some which I couldn't tell what they were exactly. The dress looked like it had been through a lot, as did the little girl, and from what I could tell, she seemed terrified.

((Yes I drew the picture myself...Moving on...)) I slowly made my way towards her, the soles of my shoes lightly clacking against the hard floor. As I approached her, she seemed to be scared of what would happen next. I stood next to her, crouching down to her level, as she tried to stay as still as she could. "....M-m......o.....mmy-...?" She mumbled, seconds later shuffling away inch by inch, continually repeating the phrase, 'I'm sorry'.

I gently put my hand on her non-bruised shoulder and hummed to her, I could physically tell she had relaxed and calmed down. That's when I realized that there was only one cause of this: Her parents...

~(???'s) PoV~

I was scared. Who is this stranger? This most definitely was not Mommy or Daddy... They would have hurt me, unlike this person... I reached out to the mystery person's hand and stumbled to sit up. "W-who....are you?" I asked unsure if I should trust them.

"I'm Me-.....I'm Laken..." She sounded hesitant with her words. But none-the-less, I introduced myself. "I-I'm..... Lynda...." I still wasn't sure that I could trust her completely.

"Can I call you Lynne...for short?" Laken asked softly. I nodded my head softly as to not make my eye socket bleed again. "Lynne, do you mind me asking what happened to you?" I took a deep breath as I stood up to sit on Laken's lap. "I-I don't mind... but only if you help me do something..." Should I ask for her help? "Sure anything for you Lynne...!" She seemed like she wanted to help me...

"C-can......you take me away from here? I-......don't like it here!" I started crying, not being able to keep up a front. I didn't even know what this lady looked like but I felt like I was safe from anything in her arms. Even Mommy and Daddy...

I grabbed her shoulders and hid my face in the corner of her neck, as she cradled me close to her. She hummed a tune unfamiliar to me as I quietened down to hear her soft voice. "Of course Lynne... I'm going to rid you of this terrible hell you call home... I'm going to take all the pain away, okay? Then we will leave this place that those monsters kept you in..." She sounded pretty determined to do just that. "Alright, now I'm gonna need you to climb on my back so I can... finish something... Then we'll leave... You can live with me... Does that sound good?" I nodded my head vigorously, not even worried about my eye, as I as too excited to finally not hurt anymore... All my hurt is going to go away! This is the happiest day of my life!

As Lynne climbed on my back, I carried her up the stairs telling her everything was going to be alright. I finally made my way to her parents' room and I told her to sit on the floor for a sec and cover her ears. I didn't want the little girl to hear what I was doing...

~Timeskip to after they started to head back to the mansion~

I softly hummed as I carried Lynne back home with me, her head laying on my shoulder as I held her body close to me. I wanted to make sure she stayed asleep so I could introduce her to everyone after our long trek home...

((How was that?! I decided that a little sister figure would be a great addition to Laken's new life, as she was always an only child... I find that Laken needed someone whom she could relate to and help them and give some TLC Until next chapter!))
