Chapter four - a sting of hope

"Here you go, enjoy." The girl says and gives Zac a mcdonalds bag. He reaches out his arm and his hand touches hers involuntary. I see a light pinkish color rush to her face. This guy really is a girl magnet.

"Thank you." He says and hands the bag over to me. The lovely smell spreads everywhere in his black bmw which makes my stomach grumble like a whale. He ignores the sound but I can tell that he's smiling in a foolish way which is kinda cute.

As he drives away I eat a french frie.

"Where are we going?" I ask as he pulls the keys out of the ignition.

"You'll see." He says and steps out of the car and I do the same with the bag in my hand.

We're in a quiet area with loads of threes, like an opening to something I don't know.

"Follow me." Zac says and grabs my hand, I jerk away and he chuckles lightly. He walks towards an little entry and leads me into a path.

Holy shit am I going to be raped?

"I just realized how creepy this seems." Zac says. Is he reading my mind?

"Oh really?" I answer sarcastically shaking my head.

When we finally reach our secret place I'm amazed. There's a little brown bench and in front there's a little lake. The place is surrounded by trees and their leaves shine in red, yellow and brown with a hint of little green which proves that summers not completely gone yet. Anyways, this place seems peaceful and I get a feeling that not many people know about it.

Zac sits on the bench and I do the same noticing the little 'z' that's carved on the brown material. He takes the bag from me and hands me a burger. I gladly receive it, I'm starving at this point.

"This place is amazing." I say and take a bite of my burger. Zac sips on his drink.

"It's very relaxing, isn't it?"

"It is. How do you know about it?" I ask him taking another bite of my burger.

"I used to come here all the time before when I was younger, I still do. It's an amazing place where I can think." he says and his green orbs reflects pain for a second before it disappears completely.

"Rough past I might guess..?" I ask quietly and he stiffens.

"Sorry, I didn't me.." I begin but Zac stops me.

"Don't worry about it." he says and I decide that it might be best to shut up about it and eat my meal.

"So I have to ask you something." Zac says and I find myself being in the same position as this morning. I'm trying to get my books from my locker and Zac leans into the other lockers.

"Well go on and ask me while I'm still here." I say grabbing my math books and closing my locker before facing him.

"So, there's this party on Friday.." he starts.

Is he asking me out?!

"Okay...?"

"And I was just wondering.."

He's totally asking me out ohmygod!!

"I was just wondering if Ashton is going?"

...Excuse me

"Why don't you ask him." I snap and start walking to my class leaving him.

Jerk.

I hope he's checking my ass out, because that's one thing he won't get.

I know that this is a very short chapter and I haven't been updating a lot. I'm so sorry!
