It was a warm summer day in Miami, Florida. Since I was 16 years old, my parents thought I could stay home alone. They didn't really care where I was, or who I was with. I am an only child. I have always wanted a sibling but my parents said no to almost anything. The only way that I could get what I want, is if I didn't tell them about it. I'd buy my own clothes, food, basically everything.
It was summer break, and I wanted to do something fun. My parents were probably out at a club getting drunk like always. Some people underestimate me for who I am. They think that I would learn from my parents. Honestly, I never would consider my self a Carson. Yes, my last name is Carson. My mom's last name was Parker.
Neither of the names fit me. I don't want to be known as the 'Drunk, Psycho' people's daughter. Okay, they aren't 'Psycho' but they are far from responsible. I'm done talking about who I am, and who my parents are. You guys are here for my story. Well, the date is July 16th, 2016. I wanted to go on an adventure. Then I had an idea. The woods! I have always wanted to go to the woods. Maybe even a forest, or just anywhere close to nature.
I packed a bunch of stuff in my backpack. Food, drinks, clothes. Clothes, just incase I get lost and can't find my way out. Who knows, I might have to spend a night in the forest. I took my phone and stuffed it in my bag. Maybe not such a safe idea to travel alone in the forest, but I have no friends.
I bought my own car, since my parents disagree with anything I say. My car is a sliver Honda. I got in my car and drove to the nearest forest/ the woods. When I finally got to the forest I got out and smelt the pine tree smell. I loved it. "Excuse me, how old are you?" An officer asked me out of no where. "Oh, uhm. I'm 16 sir." I told the officer as he nodded his head and walked away. When I got more into the forest I saw a boy sitting by a river. "Hey, um. Not sure if it's the best idea to be out this far all by yourself." I told him nervously. "Why not? You are." He stated. "Heh, yeah. I guess I am. But I assume you have friends, but me... I like don't. So.. heh." I told him twittiling my fingers. "Well, sometimes I like to just get away from everyone. You know?" He told me. "Oh, so I guess I'm bothering you. I'll just go. See you round'." I told him almost walking away. "No, it's fine. You can stay." He told me smiling. "No, but I really have to go. Here's my number incase you get lost or anything. Assuming you have other people to call but you know. And hey, I never got your name." I say writing my number on a piece of paper. "I'm Mario. You?" he asked me. "Julia." I say smiling. I said goodbye and continued my adventure.
