History class flew by. Actually taking notes for the class was exhausting. The bell rang, signaling that the period was over. I looked to my left, expecting the seat beside me to be empty, seeing as how Paige is always very quick to leave the classroom.
"Are you going to pack up your stuff so we can leave?" Paige teased me, smiling, still sitting in the seat beside mine.
Quickly shoving my things into my backpack, I stood up and pushed my chair in while Paige did the same. Before she could lean down to pull her backpack up off the ground, I grabbed it for her, slinging it over my other shoulder.
"You don't have to-" Paige explained beside me, looking up at me confused.
"I want to, Paige." I interrupted her before holding the door so she could walk out of the room.
"So chivalry isn't dead, hm?" She laughed beside me once we were out in the hallway.
"Maybe your just looking for it in the wrong guys." I blurted out. Damn. I really need to think before I speak.
"I guess I am." Paige said, looking down at her shoes.
Stopping in front of room 108, Paige let out a large sigh before speaking.
"We should probably start that project today, come up with some questions for each other." She spoke while walking through the door I was holding for her, making her way to our assigned table.
"Ms. Moore, on time today I see." Mr. Reid said from the front of the classroom, obviously trying to push her buttons.
"Yes, Mr. Reid, now if you don't mind, I'd like to start my assignment." Paige said strongly, making me remember how she spoke to the deputy yesterday.
"Yes, of course," he stumbles with his words before directing his attention to the entire class, "today, please work on your projects, as of now you have 6 days to complete them."
Turning towards Paige, she hands me a sheet of paper.
"I'm not sure what type of questions we're supposed to ask, so just write down whatever and I'll answer them." She smiled up at me and then turns her head back down to her paper, long brown hair flowing over her back.
Looking down at my own paper, I begin to wonder what I really want to know another Paige. Knowing her since my childhood has given me some insight, but I've never known the real her. Grabbing a pen, I began writing.
1. Describe yourself in 4 words, beginning with the letter O
The letter O? What the hell, Landon? I turned my pencil to erase the last half of the question to leave it at just 'Describe yourself in 4 words', but I figured I'd give Paige a challenge.
2. What are 3 things you are not good at?
Another challenge for Paige Moore. From my observations, there wasn't a single thing that Paige didn't ace on her first try.
3. What are 4 things you are good at?
This one should be a piece of cake. Even I could list 100 things Paige was good at.
4. In your own words, define love
Creepy, Landon, this is creepy. I was a tad curious. Everybody thought that love was something different, I'd like to hear Paige's idea.
5.
I felt like I had a million questions to ask Paige, but I couldn't think of any more. Those 'What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?' questions suck.
