Make Up Your Mind Willow

Things Changed.

"Luke?" I was confused why he was calling me now.

"Hey Willow, how was school?" Luke always was the one who was caring. No matter who you are, he will always ask how you are doing or how was your day.

"You know I haven't forgiven you about how you ditched me!" I laughed into my phone. Loud high schoolers yelled in the background which was giving me a headache.

"Ha HA HAAAAAAAAA!!!!" I heard through the my phone. I could tell it was Calum.

"WILLOW!!! WILLOW HELP!! IT'S ME YOUR FAVOURITE!! CALUM AAHHHHHHH!!! GAAAHHH MICHAEL IS HURTING ME!" You couldn't help but laugh at how much of an idiot all these boys were. Calum was my favourite. Always has been, always will be. He has a special place in my heart.

Laughter filled my ear not only throught the phone, but also from behind me. Great. Who could this be?

I turn around to find Scarlet. Scarlet the mean girl of this school. She once went out with Calum, but I believe that she just used him to get into a gig. This is great what does she want now?

"Hey Luke, yeah... uh I'm a.... gonna have to call you back. Bye" I hung up on Luke, making my way to Scarlet and all her pitty friends.

"Willow! Oh darling how are you?? Haven't seen you in sooo long!"

I wanted to throw up all of her makeup cake face. She literally brings me severe depression everytime I see her.

"Hi Scarlet" Barely saying it, I said it with a clenched jaw.

"Oh darling that scum Calum called."

I bet he did. WHY do I care! You only went out with him becasue you wanted to get into is pants.

"And..."

"Annnnndddd he said he fancied a certain someone. This someone, although, is quite... how do I say it... ugly" Here we go. Of course she continued.

"You would know that he is very good in bed. Because you're a slut" I turned around and walked away, not up for this type of shit

"Oh and by the way DARLING the ugly duckling is you."  After that all I could hear was giggling.

I ran home. Tears streaming down my face. I hated Scarlet. Why does she get to me? How does she get into my head? Calum was my best friend. I knew him inside out and backwards. It hurt me that he  made contact with her. And before you say anything, yes, he did make contact. He told me how he still liked her a few weeks back. It broke my heart. Calum is such a sweet boy. He doesn't deserve something so bitter.

I made it to my house. I lived in West Sydney, Australia. I loved my neighbourhood. I knew lots of people around here. My next door neighbour, Ms. Weng, I just adore her. She was always here for me when I needed her, especially since it was the end of high school and all this HSC stress. Ms. Weng used to be a high school teacher at my school, and when I was in grade 8 I had her for a few classes. She has been my favourite teacher out of my whole schooling. She always talked to me as a human not a robot like other teachers do.

Not paying any attention, I ran straight past Ms. Weng who was in her garden.

"Willow! Slow down you'll trip and fall."

"Ms. Weng! Oh I didn't see you there." I furiously wiped away my tears, but it was too late. I was a mess and I would clearly be lying to Ms. Weng.

She took me into her house and offered afternoon tea. I had calmed down now, and I told her it was Scarlet.

"You know if the cane wasn't illegal, she would cop it!" I laughed. If only.

It was silent for a while and I was distant. Ms. Weng was the first to talk.

"I can tell you miss him."

"Hmm?"

"Calum. You miss him. I can tell when I girl misses a boy."

"We are just friends."

"Oh, I don't know about that. I remember when you were in grade 8, you two were inseperable. I know he sneeked a few glances every now and again, I'm not blind!" I laughed.

As the years moved on, Calum and I weren't as close. School work load got heavier. Calum got interested into girls like Scarlet. I got interested in getting good grades. Calum got a music vibe. I decided we weren't the same anymore. I made new friends. I met new boys.

Things changed.
