I woke up as normal in my bedroom, not actually a bedroom it's a kitchen/ bedroom.
It's the only thing we can do sometimes it's worse u sleep on the cold hard floor on winter, I hate the winter season. Having a little brother brings a lot of responsibilities. I sacrifice some of my things just so he can get by usually on winters I give him my blanket. Mom complains off course, but I love Alexis.I quickly pounced out of the blankets almost waking up Alexis beside me and I do my normal regime praying thanking God for keeping me and my family safe through the night. Then I rushed to the bathroom washed my face and brushed my teeth and then I headed to a small room to look for a shirt were we keep all our clothes and I found my favourite shirt the Messi 2010 World Cup replica, which had a missing I and E on his name at the back print of the shirt which now read MSS.
I laced up in some old shoes Ma brought for me on my 13th birthday, they don't fit well and they give me a lot of pain I can even see my toes starting to appear that's how old they are now . I made my way over to Ma and Papas bedroom opened the door " morning Ma "
" Morning Danielo" "I'm leaving I am now going to play football at the youth centre "
"Alright be safe, remember to give your best Danny "
"Haha I will Ma",my mom and my dad are my true idols they do their best working hard to fend for me and Alexis even though we struggle we get by together as a family, my dad has an uncle whose a millionaire in the UK but we've never been in contact with him ever since dad said he had an argument with him and he's never spoke to him again since 1998. Mom sells veg at the local Manaus market and papa is a mechanic at Pablo et Valerie's garage, he sometimes takes me and Alexis for a ride in some of the sports cars he fixes and on one occasion he almost git fired after he drove one of the cars.I arrived at the youth centre and I was greeted by my friends Diego and Johnotas. We get along well because we share the same life experiences all our families struggle and the youth centre is the only thing that helps us get our minds off that and play football in a calm environment.
We head into the reception were we are greeted by the youth coach who takes us into the changing rooms as we have a match against Quilmairs juniors youth academy. This is surprising to us it's a new change compared to what we're used to, we usually play other youth academies I guess the coach thinks we're good enough.
As I entered the changing room I noticed something strange everyone was seated facing a white board with the coach in front of them I whisper to Diego as I sat down " Ay Macho whats coach talking about??" "he's talking about today's game today the Quilmairs will be selecting who they want to play for them next season for their academy and they are using this match to study us and see who to select". I back glance at him with a smile as if I had just found gold and I reply back "this be our chance to make it Macho" he giggles as he turns back to look at the whiteboard again. "We attack them using the left and right flanks lads they are weak there but don't be distracted as they have star ace Romelo who can change the game and heat up quicker than a microwave leaving the defenders in his dirt". "Let's go out there and win this I want you to come back in 45 minutes and ask yourself if you have let your brothers in arms down or you've made them proud"I can't believe it!! I'm actually about to play the Quilmairs juniors in match wow, this is truly a day to remember. After I put the kit on and some boots from the club storage I head into the toilet and stare at the mirror for a good 2 minutes and then I washed my face. This is reality!! I've been waiting for this moment all my life it may be the breakthrough for my family imagine if I get into the academy the money I would be getting each month it would help fund for Alexis primary school and Ma to get a new furniture and a bed for us. I stop myself before I got too ahead of my self, I hear Diego's voice behind me "lets go Danny we gotta show them and let's do this" I take one last deep breath and answer to him "let's go Macho"
