STRANDED

1. Gone

Charley's POV

I woke to the sound of Shayla shouting. What time is it? I thought to myself. When I opened up the tent I saw that my parents tent and car were gone. "Guys! Where are mom and dad, where are mom and dad?!?!" Shayla kept saying. Where's Trevin? I thought to myself. I looked back in the tent and there he was sound asleep."Trevin wake up!!!" I yelled. "Mom and dad are gone!!!!"

"What?" he said darting out of the tent. I came back out to see Trevin pacing back and forth saying to himself "What are we going to do?" "Calm down guys! We'll figure this out!" I said. We'll figure this out... "What's for breakfast?" Trevin finally said. I looked around for something to eat when I found a carton of eggs. I quickly opened it up and put a couple eggs in a pan then I held them over the fire to cook. "When are they going to be done?"Trevin kept saying. "Be patient!!!" I said "OK they're ready. After breakfest everybody got dressed and sat around the fire.

"What are we going to do now?" Shayla said. "I have no idea, Trevin what about you?" I said. "Nothing." "We could go see if any of the other campers will let us use their phone or something." Shayla said. "I think I saw Luke Thompson." Not him I thought to myself. Luke wasn't the nicest guy's in the world. "You now what I think I know where the ranger quarters are." We decided to try and find the ranger qaurters.

We walked a couple miles when we saw a sign pointing in the direction of the ranger qaurters we followed the sign and started walking in that direction. When we finally got to the building, no one was there. We went inside the building to look around. "It looks like no one's been here since forever." said Shayla. "Yeah everything seems all dusty" said Trevin. I started searching through a pile of books that I had found on the floor. I found one that told about the campground that we were at, I started reading it when I found something... it said that the campground was closed down years ago and it also said that every time someone would go here something would disappear for some reason.

What's going on? I thought to myself. "Guys let's get back to camp" I said. As we were walking back I saw Luke walking in our direction. Please don't notice me I thought to myself.

"Hey guys what you up to" he said. "We're looking for my mom and dad" Shayla blurted out. "Oh are they lost or something?" "Ya...". I stopped her before she could say anything else. "We were just going for a walk to see what the rest of the camp ground looked like." I quickly said. Whew! I thought to myself. "Oh so your parents aren't missing?" Luke said with a puzzled face. "Nope and they're probably wondering where we are. We probably should be heading back. "Okay hope I see you again" Luke said. Me too... not! I thought to myself. When we finally got back to camp we were all exhausted and fell asleep.
