Freedom and Money

We are now hiding in the woods, but we escaped.
"I'M FREE!!" I yell and plop onto the ground.
"Shut up! You'll give away our location!!!" Max said angrily
"No I won't, only we can hear eachother, and the wind is redirecting our scents." I say matter-of-factly
Max gave Angel an 'explain' look.
"*sigh* Max, she is telling the truth. She can communicate with anything that has a life force, as well as control a few elements." Angel said.
Everyone looked at me with wide eyes.
Except the tall blonde boy.
Blind.
"Well, since you know my name, what are all of yours?" I ask with a grin and stand up.
"Fang, Iggy, Gazzy, Nudge, and you know who Max is." Said Angel, pointing as she said names.
"okay, well, we need to get new looks so that they won't recognize us, if we are seen." I say
"Shopping!!" Squeals Nudge.
"We don't have money." Fang says bluntly.
"But I know a series of four numbers that go with this little plastic card I stole from one of the scientists." I say innocently while holding up a Sun trust card.
"Can we keep her?!?!" Yells Nudge who glomp me in a hug.
"How long have you had that?" Asks Angel.
"I took it off of one of the dead ones on our way out. But I made sure it was one that didn't have a family." I say and start walking towards a tree.
Max looks at the ground.
"*sigh* Belle, you can stay with us as long as you can beat one of us in hand to hand combat." She says
"Why? I don't want to fight anyone without reason." I say with a sad face.
"We need to see if you can defend yourself." She says.
"Oh, okay. Who do I have to fight?" I ask.
"You pick." She said grinning.
"You." I say looking straight at her.
Everyone gasps.
"Belle! Do you have a death wish!?!?!" Exclaimed Nudge and Gazzy.
"No, but she thinks I would betray the flock, when I would never betray the good guys." I say
"How do we know that?" Asked Iggy.
"You don't, there are some instances you have to trust new people. The most proof I can give that I don't work with 'The School', is that I don't want them to succeed with the plans they have for me." I say and shudder.
I look down at my pre-maturely developed body.
"Let me guess, they were going to exterminate you?" Said Gazzy
"I wish." I mumble and start petting the tree.
"Angel, what were they planning?" Asked Max
"Yeah, and why is she petting a tree?" Asked Gazzy
"They were going to breed her........ and Gazzy, she can communicate with any living object." Angel said
"Woah. Wait, how did she end up in there? She acts like a normal person." Said Nudge
"I was bought from my family 4 or 5 years ago, so I grew up with humans. Now can we go get clothes? I am really cold." I said, looking down at my 'clothes'.
I am only in a black tanktop and black boxers.
Gazzy and Fang blush, Fangs being almost non-existent, and turn their backs to me.
"Yeah, let's head to the mall." Said Max, who was trying not to laugh.

Now that we are at the edge of the woods, I realize I need to find a way to hide my ears and tail.
"Erm, how do I hide my ears and tail?" I ask, nobody in particular,
Nudges face instantly lights up
"Can I try?" She asks and I nod while smiling and saying,
"Sure!"
She giggles and starts moving my hair around.
"So, you guys know some stuff about me, may I know some things about you?" I ask since everyone is standing in a semi-circle around Nudge and I.
"Like what?" Says Nudge from behind me.
"How about........ why Iggy and Gazzy smell like gunpowder?" I say
"We like to play with explosives." Gazzy says non-chalantely.
"Wow." Iggy laughs.
"What?" I question
"Usually the first thing someone asks is why I don't look them in the eye." He says.
"I already know about you being blind, I'm not stupid. Plus, I know exactly what happened." I say sadly.
"Sure you do." Max says as if I am lying.
"I do, actually. Iggy, you were subject 6, you had poor eye-sight and instead of glasses, they tried to enhance your sight with experiments. This resulted in your blindness. Correct?" I say and his jaw drops, as well as everyone elses.
"H-how did you know that?" He asks
"Because, you were subject 6, I was subject 8." I say with a smile.
They were all speachless after that, so I just stood silently, allowing Nudge to finish.
All of a sudden, she grabbed my tail, resulting in a high squeak.
"Oh! Sorry! I didn-" I cut Nudge off by saying
"It's okay, I just wasn't expecting it, that's all."
She nodds and 2 minutes later, she is finished.
"So they aren't noticeable?" I ask and she nodds.
"YAY! Now we can go!" I exclaim and start walking to a gas station.
"Where are you going? The mall is the other way." Max says.
"I know, I have to get money from the credit card." They all gave me odd looks.
"Transactions and purchases are traceable, so, I will get money over there, and hopefully, they will think we went that way. That is, if they realize I stole one of their credit cards."
And with that, they stared in amazement as I went to 4 different ATM's, so I could get as much money as possible.
