The accident

"Dad," I began. "I've been planning to ask you that-"

Dad smiled. "What is it, honey?"

"Can we please go on a vacation to unwind? To relax?" I gulped.

Dad's smile died. "There's good news and bad news."

I blinked. I hope the bad news would be not as bad as I expected.

"Bad news, we can't go today."

"And the good news?"

Dad's smile returned. "We can go the next two days."

The heavy feeling in my chest disappeared. I gave him a warm hug.

"Thanks, Daddy-O."

"Okay pack up your things so there is no problems when we go and inform your mom about this.. ok??"

Ok dad

C'mon amy let's have dinner! Daddy cooked your fav meal!

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!! HEAVEN!!! MAC AND CHEESSSSEEEEE!!

Two days later

(Wakes up) Uggghhhh.. stupid alarm clock!! Oh wait, VACATION TIME!!

Dad: AM COME ON WERE GOING EARLY! EAT YOUR CEREAL WE ARE GOING!!!

Yess finally a vacation. A vacation away from the boring house. (Whispering) Ok dad i'm comin!!

(Eats) hurry up am!! its getting to be traffic a few minutes later!!

(Barfs) I'm done eating!

Ok make sure you didn't leave anything.

(Me and mom) were sure alright!

Ok lets go!!

(Gets dog in the car)

Me: mom, dad, do we have food to go with?

Yes. especially Hershey's chocolate

Me and mom: ok

On the way, we passed through a fly-over. My dad had an important- urgent call from his phone.

"Hello? Yes! i've already...."

Mom : (Woke up yawning) OH GOD LOOK WHERE YOUR GOING!!!!!

While he was talking, he didn't realize that it was a right-turn. Our car crashed on the tree. Luckily, im on the back with a seatbelt on.

(Surprised) MOM! DAD! WAKE UP!! HELP!!!! HELP PLEASE!!

I've found dad's phone. I called the ambulance.

"Please come here at the flyover! my mom's and dad's heads are bleeding!!

And finally i heard a loud sound following a flashing light. It was the ambulance.

They rushed out helping my parents.

"Are you okay???" Said the nurse.

Yes i am. Please help my mom and dad. I haven't got relatives.

"Oh. Sad for you. Come on in."

Then she smiled :)

When we got to the hospital, I cried and cried because my parents didn't make it.

"Mom.. dad.. please don't leave me.. No one will take care of me!"

The nurse heard me crying and called the government. The government told me to go to an adoption center.

"Come on kid. Were going to little angels adoption center. hope you like it there!"

Will someone adopt me?? how long would it take to get a loving family??

"If you're lucky, maybe later or tomorrow, or maybe now, someone can adopt you!!"

"Oh, ok!"

The kids were nice there. The caretaker was Super nice. It was fun in the center. Every kid like me wants a loving family.

One day, i have met a girl my age.

"Hey! what's your name?? mine is jennifer. But you can call me jenny or Jen. Im 11." Said the kid

Oh hi! I'm Amy! Amy berkson. My mom and dad died on a car accident. I miss them alot. Im 11 too!

Oh that's really sad. Wanna be friends?? said jenny happily.

Sure!! call me am.

Jenny and i became best friends. She was really fun to be with. And we had alot of friends too.

Two weeks later

Hey, am!! I got good news! im getting adopted. My new mom's name is Rachel. And my dad's is Luke.

I felt sad because im losing my best friend but in the same time, i felt happy for her.

In the meantime, my friend Julianne that i like to call Julie became my best friend. She was really smart and kind.

Hey Julie, do you miss your family?

"I dont have one. My mother brought me here since i was 2."

Her words made me ruminating. I didn't know that such a wonderful girl was left by her mom.
