Team Captains

Preface

   It all started  in first grade. Alexis Tragowsi, a short and skinny girl with long brown hair, green eyes, and a freckled face, and her class mates were playing "Zombie Tag". The new boy, Jake Wilder, and Alexis were the only kids not tagged by the zombies. Alexis always won this game, she was on a 47 day winning streak, and was not going to lose it to this new kid. But Jake wasn't planning on losing, he figured if he won over the the "great" Alexis, he wouldn't be such of an outsider anymore.
  Apparently when Jake has his mind set on something, nothing gets in his way. So he waited for Alexis to start running, and he ran right behind her, with very little space in between. When zombies started to approach them, he moved his foot in front of Alexis' ankle. She fell, and was immediately tagged by her best friend, Max. Everyone was so shocked at what happened, that Jake was able to get away from the zombies with ease.
  Alexis has hated him every since.

  Alexis could never get away from Jake. All throughout the rest of elementary school in Oakdale, they were in all of the same classes.
In second grade, Alexis cut a piece of Jake's hair off, so Jake grabbed a pair of scissors and cut off her bangs.
Then in third grade, They would both yell across the class, calling each other names. They both received a whole lot of detention that year.
In fourth grade, you would think that the teaches and principles would learn not to pair them together, but they didn't. So whenever The teacher had the kids pick a partner and grade their papers, Alexis would run over to Jakes desk and take his paper before he could even get up, and every time she gave him a 3o%.
But now fifth grade, they made amends for a while, leaving each other alone, and working together, until their teacher, a new teacher to the school, told them to work together on the biggest project of the school year. Alexis had one idea, and Jake had a totally opposite idea, so that small period of amends ended.
All of this continued through middle school, and Was expected to continue through high school...
