It was August of 2016, People were leaving their homes and abandoning most the Netherlands, the provinces of North and South Holland were clearing out as reports of a big storm were coming through on news stations. People didn't give it a name, but news of "the storm" striked fear into everyone's hearts. Well, that was before all this hell decided to find its way to me.

Den Haag, Netherlands, 04:00, 2040, Dec 21st (present day). I was pouring cheap store bought tea I had prepared for a young man by the name of Alan Von Hartung. Alan had been staying at my home for a few days now, he said it was for "an interview". I usually I'd turn those down just so I didn't have to face my trauma, but this one particular engagement seemed a bit special to me. Besides, I've been holding in my story for far too long now... Am I right?

My name is Tim Van Hoff, personification of the country of the Netherlands. and this is the story of how I got lost at sea for probably over a year.

"Now tell me Timothy, did you have a lover before this all? If so, were they human?"

I shrugged. "Not technically, but I was in love with a woman. And yes, she was a human woman.. Not one of my own kind. She was my English tutor actually. Mrs. Smiley; Abigail Smiley. She was a beautiful young lady from London, England. The only problem was that she was married to a man by the name of Adam Smiley." There was a hint of disapproval in my voice, my whole body felt sour when I said that name. I hadn't brought up Abigail in years, I haven't even brought her up in years.

'Hey- what does this have to do with being a castaway?!' I thought to myself.

//sort for such a short start, if I get enough positive feedback I'll continue on this story!!//
