Dan was woken up by his mum on the first day of school. As always, he had begged his mum to be homeschooled this year and, as always, she had said no. This made him wish either her or his dad had finished college.
Dan got up, got dressed and started waling to school, head down looking at the ground as always. It wasnt the lessons he hated about school. It was the people that bullied him and his one friend, PJ. He had been friends with PJ since kindergarten. He usually walked with Dan but today was different. Dan got to school and everyone gave him the death stare as usual.
Dan's first class was drama which he was quite happy about. Drama was probably his favorite class. Dan sat next to a boy with raven black hair and pail skin. The boy looked over at Dan and smiled. "Hi" he said. Dan looked at him confused. No one ever really talked to him. "Um, hi?" Dan answers. "Im Phil." The blue eyed boy put out a hand. Dan shook the hand. "And Im Dan." He said awkwardly. "You new here?" Phil asked Dan. "No, are you?" Dan asked. Phil nodded. "Well, everyone here is kind of a jerk so fair warning" Dan says. Phil chuckles.
After school ends, Dan meets Phil in the front of the school so they can walk home together as they lived or relatively close. One of the guys that bullied him, Joe Sugg, also just happened to be there. "Hey faggot! You waiting for your boyfriend or something?" He mocked Dan. Dan just walked away to go wait at the front doors for Phil.
As soon as Dan had gt to the front doors, Phil walked out, his darkish blue backpack on his back. "Ready to go?" Phil asked. Dan replied with a nod and they started walking back home. Dan insisted on taking the longer route as he didn't want to be seen by Joe. "Isn't there a shorter way to go? Why don't we go that way?" Phil asked. "There is, I just prefer we go this way because there's this one guy that always bullies me for the stupidest things." Dan answers. "Well, at least we can get to know each other!" Phil smiles. From what Dan can tell, Phil always looked at things from the bright side, Dan beg the total opposite.
