Hands had always been an obsession of the young blonde's. She drew them on all her papers and she would fantasize about them--weird as it sounded. She found herself studying the hands that belonged to her friends, every wrinkle, movement, and blemish was imprinted into her mind. Once, she let her mind wander enough to where she was comparing the beauty of hands to that of flowers.
That was just the beginning.
Being a very organized and proactive girl, Rin began to plan. The plan was cruel and disgusting, yet to her it was nice and a work of beauty. Everyday after school, she would go the hardware store across the street from her house and buy large stacks of flower pots. Innocently, her friends assumed she had taken an interest in gardening, which in a way.... she had.
The day her collection received its first piece, she stood looking at herself in the mirror. Straightening her bow, a strange smile appeared on her face. Her date needed to go just as planned. Len had promised to pick her up in around an hour, enough time to get ready. She flopped back on her bed, the odd look staying on her face. She turned on her side and stared at the wonderfully shiny silver object. A knife--a cleaver to be exact.
Before she had realized, there was a knock on her door. Her sadistic grin turned into one of fake sincerity. She made her way over to the door, sticking the knife in her stocking on the way, and opened it. The smile that greeted her was warm and bright, like a ray of sunshine. A few moments of doubt passed through Rin. 'Think of it this way....' she thought, 'he'll be preserved forever if you do this....' This seemed like pretty sound logic so her doubts flew away. Len handed her a small, cheap, bunch of flowers that he'd most likely picked up from the nearest grocery store. She accepted them and excused herself for a moment as she hurried to get them into a vase of water. The bouquet was pretty, although the flowers had already started wilting, and the colors were vibrant shades of orange, gold, and red... the way they were placed reminded her of fire.
She made her way back to him and noted that the smile still lay upon his lips. Perhaps she could sneak a quick kiss in before taking what she wanted, she pondered. The thought was quickly torn down by her 'other self' though. As they exited, more flashes of doubt came into her mind. Len led her to a small park, the daylight was now slipping away. Her plan was coming into play, even more than she thought it would.
His slightly sweaty hand held her own and he stared off into the sky.
"It's nice out tonight, Rin..... Don't you think....?" He turned to her. She could feel her face get hot and she internally scolded herself. She nodded her head, her hair falling slightly in her face. A deep chuckle came from him as they walked. He turned back to looking at the sky as they found a deserted back path. Rin took her chance. She slowly, and nonchalantly, pulled the knife from her stocking and held it behind her back. She held it pointing downward and her hand was in the prime place for brutally stabbing. He didn't pay her movements much mind and so she went for it. She stopped walking and tugged him back towards her. Confused, he moved toward her.
"... Sorry." Her voice didn't sound sincere but her heart would protest. His eyes widened as she shifted her grip to his wrist and brought the knife up.

A loud scream rang out through the night. The scream was definitely male and it was one of shear terror.

Rin made her way to the school, the knife was cold against the skin in her stocking and scratchy where the victim's blood had dried.
At school she planned who the next addition would be. Her best friend, Miku, would be perfect for the honor. So when she met with the tealette after school, the opportunity was perfect and she did her work.
