Oliver smiled.

"You gettin' nervous and feel like backing out now?"

Sam turned to him and scrunched her eyebrows together.

"Hell no. I'm going to make this work no matter what."

"Good, good. That's what I like to hear."

Sam's expression softened and she smiled back at Oliver. She started walking out of the room by tip toeing around the hair on the floor so she wouldn't step on it. When she got out of the bathroom, she walked over to Jack.

"What do you think?"

Jack turned around in his chair and looked up at Sam.

"Whoa, you look so different now! It's so short! Good job Oliver!"

"Thanks!" yelled Oliver from the bathroom.

Sam went back to Oliver and helped clean up the hair and towels. When they finished, Sam closed the bathroom door and continued looking at her new hair in the mirror.

"Jack, what time is it right now?" she asked while twirling her bangs around her finger.

"Uh... It's 3:32."

"We have to go to the library to make our ID's at 4:00 huh?"

"Yeah. Wanna leave around 3:45 so we can get there on time?"

"Sounds good."

Eventually, the time came for them to leave their room and head to the library in the Main Building. The library was gigantic, easily fitting the entire 1st year class inside. Most students were sitting in chairs surrounding the tables while others stood around or sat on the ground.

When the clock hit 4:00, a man holding a wireless microphone stood up from a table where the staff were sitting and turned around to face the 1st years.

"May I have your attention students!" he said in a deep, booming voice.

The library began to quiet down until only the man could be heard.

"My name is Mr. Bennett and I am a 1st year English teacher here at Blue Isle High. Today I will be helping you create your IDs. But first and foremost, I would like to officially welcome you all to Blue Isle High!"

The room exploded into cheering and clapping from the 1st years. Mr. Bennett smiled and waited for them to calm down. Once they did, he brought the microphone back up to his mouth.

"Now, before we go make your ID cards, I have to explain what they are used for and the rules that come with them. First of all, these cards are used to make sure you're in your dorm rooms by 10:00 every night. The dorm room doors have a sensor that detects your IDs when you walk into your rooms. So each night, the system will record if you are or aren't inside.

"You will also need your ID to get into the Main Building. Today is the only exception because you don't have your cards yet. In the future, if you don't have your ID when you try to enter, the sensors on the doors will go off. An alarm will keep going off every time you try to enter until you have your card.

"Now, some of you may think you're sneaky and try to leave the card in your room so you can go sneak out somewhere. Lucky for you, the sensors don't only go off when entering through these doors, but exiting them as well. Every dorm room door sensor will go off if you try to exit without the card. That way you little shits won't try to sneak out at night. Same goes for all the doors that lead into the Main Building as well. For example, if you walk into school with the card, you'll be fine. But if you forget it somewhere in school, and try to leave without it, the sensor will catch you and go off. This will be discussed more during the other presentations tomorrow, but when you plan on leaving campus to go into town, you will need your IDs when leaving school as well. The entry gate has a sensor that will go off the same way if you try to enter or leave without the card. All of this security is not only to secure the school, but also give the students responsibility. Also, don't ask me any questions about how the system knows when you have a card with you or not. I'm an English teacher for Christ's sake."
