Her life Pt.2

ARC

We rushed to the nearest hospital for Granny. Ash is crying the whole time, and this time i don't know what words can comfort her. I just hugged her because i know she's so broke inside.
I asked the nurse to take care of Ash, she's pale. I can feel the tension in her eyes.
Granny is currently in the OR, they said na may bumara sa lungs ni Granny and they need to operate her as much as possible.
Wala akong magawa kundi maghintay at magdasal. I can't even imagine kung anong mangyayari kay Ash if ever mangyari yung kinatatakutan namin.

Hours have passed, Ash said she's okay kaya katabi ko siya ngayon. We're waiting for the doctor to tell us the good news we hoped for.

At last, the surgery's done.

"Doc, is she okay? Granny's fine right? She's fine?!" Ash cried while talkig to the doctor.
Inalalayan ko siya kase feeling ko anytime soon she'll pass out.

"I'm sorry, but we tried our best. Your granny's too old para kayanin yung surgery. And it turned out that your Granny has pulmonary hypertension. Her blood pressure just kept on dropping. We did our best but she didn't make it." He said then leave.

We're both shocked. No one dares to speak. Its like a dream, and we badly want to wake up.

Until i heard the most painful sound on earth, Ash is crying so hard.

She just lyed on the floor, hugging his thighs. It hurts seeing her in a state like this.

I hugged her so tight.

"Shhh, don't cry, kaya mo yan. Granny will be sad if she saw you crying. Don't be weak ash. " I caress her hair, hoping it could atleast make her feel a little but better.

Ash passed out because of fatigue amd stress. I went out to call Atty. Kim to settle everything for Ash.
Granny was her only relative. But God took her to a better place now.
Ash would probably have a hard time adjusting for everything that's happening right now.

I opened the door to her ward. She's sleeping like a child but tears kept on flowing like a river from her eyes.

"Don't worry, i'll always be here. I won't leave you. You have me Ashelia. "

And sealed it with a kissed in te forehead.

I woke up, its only a dream. Thank God!!!!!
I slowly opened my eyes and saw someone beside me. Its Zeke. I smiled, but why am i lying in a hospital bed?

I tried waking Zeke up.
"Hey, are you okay now? Do you want something?" He said.
"I'm okay now, but why am i here? Granny's waiting for me. " I replied.
His expression changed.
"Hey Ash, you don't remember? Granny's gone." His voice broke.

"No, its just a dream. I am dreaming. Granny's okay, she's waiting for me. I need to go to her. " I immediately remove my dextrose and tried standing up but i feel so weak, my tears are flowing like a river. How can this be so true? Why?

Did i kill someone in my past life? Why do i have to suffer like this? Granny's my one and only treasure. And now she's gone.

I felt Zeke hugging me, i used to feel something in his hugs. But right now, i can't feel anything. It doesn't even lessen the pain. Its like i'm numb.

I looked at him and everything went black.
