Three figures stared out of one of the huge tinted windows at the Sange Mansion. A man, a teenage boy and a teenage girl looked down at the taxi driving up the steep road to the house. At the top the taxi halted, and a girl hauling a suitcase stepped out. She was around seventeen, had long chestnut hair, olive skin and striking blue eyes. "She's a human" the teenage girl said, surprised. "When were you planning on telling us?" the boy asked, with no emotion in his voice as usual. The man sighed. "When she was here long enough that you might have actually befriended her" he said. "I thought our views on humans were the same" the girl said curiously. "They are. But this particular human happens to be my orphan godchild who's aunt died and has nowhere to live but here" the man explained. "Does she know about her father?" the girl asked. "She knows nothing. As far as she knew her father worked at an oil plant in Minnesota and got killed by a falling telephone pole" the man told her. "Did the mother know?" the boy asked with little interest. "Yes. But knowing too much is what got her killed" said the man sadly, and the two teenagers exchanged confused looks. It wasn't normal for their guardian to act upset. At this point the girl who arrived in the taxi had plucked up enough courage to ring the doorbell of the mansion, and an eerie chime echoed through the huge house. "I shall welcome her" the man said tearing his gaze away from the window. "I want you to be polite. And try not to expose any of your 'habits' while she's here. I will tell her eventually, but I would prefer it if she found out from me rather than she getting a heart attack from either of you. Understood?". "Understood" the two chorused, and the man went downstairs to greet his guest. "She can't stay" the boy said once he was out of earshot. "I agree" the girl replied. "We need to get rid of her" he said turning to face her. "I know we do. But I can't ensure her disappearance without bringing suspicion upon myself" the girl said seriously. The boy smiled darkly. "You leave the suspicion issue to me. Just make sure that she will never come back". The girl looked uncertain. "I promised Jasobrey I would try to stay 'clean'" she said quietly. The boy brought his lips to her ear and whispered "Since when do you keep promises?". His breath was cold, and she clenched her fists to stop her from shivering. She didn't want him to think that he had any affect on her. "I'll need supplies" she muttered. The boy stood up straighter. "Anything for you darling" he told her and grinned manically. As he left to introduce himself to the human girl, she couldn't help but smile to herself. Messing with the mortal was going to be fun.
