Chapter 18 : Fay's Fairytale

*Fay's P.O.V.*

I sat in shock after what I just heard my best friend say. I've been waiting to hear those words for the longest time but I've told myself countless times he wouldn't feel the same so I was in complete shock that he did feel the same.

Zayn stared at me his facial expression dropping to sadness as I stayed quiet. As much as I wanted to jump for joy and attack him with kisses one thought had stopped me from doing both those things.

That one thing was his girlfriend , Aina. I shook my head snapping out of my trance as I stood up and started pacing the room back and forth as Zayn frowned staring at me pace the room till I sat in a chair a great distance from him.

"You can't Zayn , you can't love me. Don't tell me that."I finally said as I placed my head in my hands. It was now Zayn's turn to be shocked as he stared at me a frown on his face and his eyebrows raised.

"I-What? Fay I just confessed my love for , and I've been trying to do that for the longest time and all you have to say to me is that I can't love you?"He asked me after my words finally processed.

"Zayn! How long do you think I've been waiting to actually hear you say those words?"I asked him angrily as I glared at him from across the room.

"If you've been waiting so long to hear them than why did you just tell me that I can't love you? That's not a normal reply you know."He sighed as he ran his hands through his already messy hair.

"It's because you have a girlfriend now Zayn! A girlfriend that you love! You can just suddenly tell me that you love me."I said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Zayn looked at me confused till recognition dawned on his features.

"Aina isn't actually my girlfriend Fay , it's something that management set up and they didn't want me to tell anyone. Not even you."He said quietly. I sat in the chair as tears of anger formed in my eyes but I brushed them away.

"So basically you've been lying to me?"I asked him angrily. I don't know why but the thought of Zayn lying to me just set me over the edge.

"Yes I mean no , I mean- it's complicated Fay but believe me , I wanted to tell you since the start! Why can't you just tell me those three words that I've been waiting to hear you say!"Zayn argued as tears brimmed his eyes aswell.

"Maybe because I'm confused right now! Hell , I'm not even sure if I love you back!"I yelled as thoughts ran left and right through my mind. It was suddenly quiet as Zayn and I stood in the middle of his room our heavy breathing from all of our anger was all you could hear.

I looked up at Zayn who had a torn expression on his face as his tears started to slide down his face. My face softened as I stared at my crying best friend , it was my fault that he's crying.

"Zayn I-"

"Get out."Zayn said quietly as he stared down at the ground. I was taken back by his words as I looked at him.

"What?"I whispered in a broken voice. Zayn suddenly looked up and the expression on his face killed me inside. It looked like someone had just stabbed his heart , he looked hurt , sad and heartbroken and its all my fault.

"I said get out!"He yelled through his tears as he pointed to the door. I was to in shock to actually form words so I just nodded instead as I walked out of his room and his house silently.

I sat down on his porch thinking about what had just happened.

"I can't believe I just did that."I whispered to myself as I placed my hands on my head as I cried.

"Fay!"I was woken up by a voice yelling loudly. I shot up as I rubbed my eyes looking around me. I was outside of Zayn's house and I was freezing , and since I have such 'great' luck it was raining as well so I was soaked.

"Are you insane? You could have died due to hypothermia you dumbass!"I looked up to see Zayn staring at me with worry , anger and relief. I frowned as I wrapped my arms around myself.

"Sorry , I guess I fell asleep."I mumbled. Zayn sighed as he sat down next to me wrapping the blanket he had around his and my shoulders as he wrapped his arms around me as well to keep me warm.

"Yeah I could tell you did."He muttered. There was an awkward silence after that , that none of us could fill.

"I'm sorry Zayn , I should have never said what I did yesterday."I apologized after a while of awkwardness. Zayn shrugged as his warm breath fanned my face.

"You were just stating a fact."He said with no emotion. I shook my head.

"No Zayn! I wasn't , I was just confused and angry!"I said.

"Fay , what are trying to say?"Zayn sighed staring at me with red rimmed eyes.

"I'm saying that I love you , you idiot and I always have!"I yelled loudly as I glared at him. Zayn Sat there with wide eyes before he grinned and stood up. Oh great , he's gonna leave now.

Zayn grabbed my hand pulling me up with him as he brought us out from the safety of his awning and into the cold rain. I gasped as I tried to run back under the shelter but Zayn twirled me back and into his arms.

"Zayn , are you crazy? What are you doing?"I asked him annoyed. Zayn chuckled as he wrapped his arms around my waist and leaned his down , the water from his hair dripping down onto my face.

"Something I should have done along time ago."He whispered before his soft lips were on my own. My eyes widened before I relaxed into the kiss and closed my eyes , allowing my lips to move in sync with his.

We pulled away , both of us now soaked to the bone but that didn't matter to either of us.

"I love you Faylen Villanueva."Zayn said leaning his forehead against mine. I closed my eyes with a smile on my face as i relished in this moment that I've been waiting for.

"I love you to Zayn Malik , so much."I said back my smiling growing wider.

I finally got my Fairytale after all and I have the perfect Prince. Now I just need that proposal.
