"Joji? I'm sorry but what kind of fucking name is that?" You two had got to his apartment and he let you clean up and gave you some food. Sitting together at his kitchen table the two of you made small conversation. You weren't much of a conversationalist, you just hated opening up to people. But you figured he was normal enough that it wouldn't cause any problems.
"My real names George but everyone calls me Joji, it's just easier." He shrugged as he twiddled his thumbs. He was somewhat of a strange guy, but not an asshole so that was nice.
"Hmm, I like George." You set your elbows on the table and rested you head in your hands. You glanced at him and then to your phone. 9:47 pm. You guys had been talking for three hours now and you could feel the heaviness of sleep on your eyelids. Pushing your self back into your chair you stood up. "Well George, i think I'm gonna head home. Or somewhere, I don't know." As you stood you pulled your jacket tighter around your body. George stood along with you and walked to you. He held his arms out for hug and you eyes him. Sticking your hand out for a shake, he grabbed it and shook it.
    "Not much of hugger?"
"Not much of a toucher actually."
George nodded and focused his gaze on you. He grabbed the door for you as you stepped out, but before you left you turned and gave him a small smile. "Thanks. Are you around the city much?"
He leaned against the door frame and sighed, "Usually, but now that school ended I'm heading to Australia." You perked up at the mention of Australia. You wondered how he was from Australia considering he was Asian, but you figured he had friends there. As you passed him and stood in the hallway of the building, you looked from down the hall and turned to focus on George.
"Australia sounds nice. Kinda sad I may not see you again, but if we do meet again you can call me (y/n)." You gazed at him, he was truly easy on on the eyes and he made you happy, which nothing made you happy lately. Unless you could smoke it or shoot it.
"(Y/n).." His eyes were fixed on you and he wore a small grin on his lips. "I really hope I get to see you again." You felt your heart skip and you knew you had red cheeks since you could feel the blood rush to your face. Not knowing what to say you gave him a warm smile back and nodded your head. You pivoted on your heel and left down the hall. As you walked the only thing you could hear was your footsteps and the air conditioning. You hadn't heard a door close yet and could feel a pair of eyes on you.
Jesus Christ, have I ever felt like that about a guy? He seriously had me trances, his eyes and that goddamn smile. Slay me.

Two Months Later

Nothing had changed since you met George. You still lived in the same shit hole as before with your mom and her asshole boyfriend Rob. Dealing was still the main income for you, but you were in deep with Jay and his crew still. They never found you that day, but you heard they were planning on your death still.
Walking down the dead streets of the night everything was calm and quiet. You were coming down from a your buzz and shuffled along the sidewalk, head down, hood up, and eyes glued to the sidewalk. A buzzing from your jacket pocket caught your attention.
Tobz: Heads up Jay has a crew out tonight. I spoke with him again and he wants me to relay you need 2,000 by tomorrow morning at dawn. Meet at the south piers near his uncles shop.
Sighing you typed back quickly.
(Y/n): Thanks for that heads up, Ill figure it out.
You turned your phone on silent and shoved it back into the pocket. 2,000 by dawn, how in the hell... Yeah you made decent money off dealing but sixty-five percent went to Toby and the rest to you, but then to your Australia trip. You had hoarded so much money and you weren't about to break into it for that asshole Jay. He had it out for you since high school after you fucked up a house party he had. You two started to become cool but then Tony fucked it up just because he was angry at Jay. Cunt.
Craning you head up, eyes gawked at the city lights and the buildings. Few people walked the streets and the only cars that filled the road were taxis taking home the drunks. You loved the city in the late night to AM. Continuing to walk you jumbled your brain with ideas. Your mom had no clue you still dealt so that was out. Rob wasn't even an option. He wants me dead anyways.
"Fucking nothing.." You let out a long sigh as you passed a mini mart. Your eyes gazed up and studied it. Suddenly an idea hit. You felt for your gun against the bottom of your torso. The last time you held up a mini mart you gotta away, but there were multiple people along with you.
(Y/n) stop, don't even continue to think about it. Trying to talk yourself out of it you rolled your eyes and headed into the mini mart, sliding a pair of black Ray Bands on your face. You felt the hairs on the back of your neck stick up and your nerves started up quickly.
Eyes grazing the store you counted two heads of customers near the back, one cashier with no bars or glass protecting him. You slid your head down and played cool as you looked through the drinks. You had become pretty perfect at playing normal in situations like this. Shuffling through the drink options you glanced out of the side of your eyes for cameras. None? No way, has to be one somewhere.
Taking a Arizona tea from its spot and shut the cooler door. As you padded towards chips your eyes shot up and saw a camera behind the counter. Figuring you could shoot it with your fave away and then hold the customers still and get the cashier to cooperate it would be simple.
Grabbing some Lays you made one last gaze around the store. The two customers were still in the back, seemed to be debating over what beer to get. Taking one last deep breathe you set the tea and chips on a shelf near you and slid your fingers around the gun as you slid it from under your jeans and jacket. With one quick look you aimed the gun and shot. Shooting a look up to it, it was done. The two customers yelled some curses and disappeared as they ducked. Your eyes slid fro.m the camera to the cashier.
"Don't even think about calling police or anything! What do you have in tour drawer? How much?" You spoke loudly but disguised your voice by speaking deeper. As you held the cashier at gun point you jogged past the customers on your way to the counter. Two males, brown haired and black haired, laying flat on the ground. As you passed your eyes caught the black haired male and he seemed familiar. Weird.
You reached the cashier and he looked upset and scrambled as he worked to open the drawer. "I mean I may have past 1,500 or 2,000 I don't really know.." His voice shook as he grabbed money and shoved it into a plastic bag that read 'Thank You'. He looked a couple years older than you, maybe in his 30's, wore rounded glasses, had shoulder length hair that was a dirty blonde. Lank build with height.
"Do you have more in the office or back? Like a safe?" You held the gun firmly, knuckles white. At this point you had kept your hood pulled over your head as you shot a look at the customers way. You hadn't heard anyone getting up to run. Looking back at the cashier he nodded his head, "Yeah we have a safe. I can take you back there."
"Okay, get those two customers. Grab them and take them with." As you kept him at gun point, you walked backwards and felt for the door lock, click. The cashier stepped from behind the counter and walked to the customers. "Hey get up now." You followed behind him and spoke sternly as he helped them up. As they turned and faced you your heart stopped and you felt the breath knock out form your lungs. George.
"Holy shit she's a girl. You sounded like a man!" The brown haired one spoke and you bit your lips and shushed him. Your eyes were stuck on George but you motioned to the cashier to walk tot he office and he pulled the two along with him. George had fear across his face and you felt horrible. Now he knew you. He knew how fucked dup your life was, any chance you had, goodbye.
"I need both my hands to get the safe open, its a heavy door and Im kinda weak." The cashier spoke calmly as he stared at you from behind his glasses.
"Thats fine. You two," You motioned to George and his friend, "stay. I swear to God if you move I will blow your brains out." No you wont, you fucking like George.
As the cashier got the safe open you held the bag open to him and he shoved some wads of bills and deposit bags into the plastic bag. You had him tie it shit and forcefully took it back.
"Now, you sit here and count to one thousand. Don't even fucking reach for that phone to dial nine-one-one. I need this money and if you fuck it up I have people who can find you while I'm in jail and end you." You stared the cashier down and he nodded. His fave was somber and ghostly pale. He slid into the office chair and just watched you blankly. "As for you two, with me." You waved your gun at George and his friend and they shook their heads.
"Why?" George spoke deeply and his voice shook a little.
"You'll see why. Just walk ahead of me. My gun will be on you the whole time, don't try to break away and run. There's an alley a hundred feet from here when we turn left out the door. Just casually walk to it." You stepped from the door and held the bag in one hand while you hid the gun behind your jacket, pointed still, and firmly gripped. Your finger hovered above the trigger but you knew you wouldn't actually pull it.
The three of you walked out with a good pace and seemed to draw no attention. While you walked your head started to pound. How would you approach this? He's going to think you're a fucking maniac.
You saw the alley coming up and ordered them to turn. As they did you stopped and pulled your glasses off and hood down. "Turn around."
"Okay, who the fuc-" George questioned you as he turned but stopped mid sentence and gawked at you.
"How was Australia?" You gave a a weak ass smile. "Listen, I am so sorry you had to witness that. I'm in a bad place and needed to do that. Don't fucking tell the police or that store who I am." Your voice shook as you pleaded and your eyes stayed fixed on George.
Max looked from you to George and scoffed, "Are you kidding? You know each other? Wow, why doe this not surprise me?" He leaned his head back and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, this is (Y/n).. We met like a month or two ago." George had a shine his eyes still and it gave you a hope that this relationship you two had wasn't going to die so soon.
"I am so sorry.." You let out a sigh and pursed your lips together as you put your safety on and slid your gun back into its home.
George shook his head with a small grin spreading on his lips, "So hot."
