Jacob vs Hunter (previously Bad Boy)

Chapter 8

HEY GUYSSSSSS
so sorry I update really far apart. it's a bad habit. But is was thinking of changing the name of the book. Maybe to something like "Hunter vs. Jacob". let me know what you think in the comments below!

Jacob's pov
Sometimes I wish that I never found out about Rachel. I know that is a bad thing to say, but all I ever do it watch her. It's like Abby is taking advantage of me and just uses me as a babysitter. All she does is hang out with Hunter now. Especially that it's almost Christmas time. I really just want Rachel, Abby, and I to be together sometimes. As a family. I think I may have a talk with Abby when she comes home to take over Rachel.
After about 30 min Abby opens the door and Hunter walks in right behind her. of course.
"Hey Abby can I talk to you upstairs". Hunter shoots me a look
"um sure. I'll be right there" I walk upstairs to put Rachel in her crib and Abby follows.
"what's wrong Jacob?"
"well I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I just don't know if I can take on as much as you are giving me. I watch Rachel everyday now for you while you are off having fun with Hunter. I used to be the guy with all the girls, who threw all the parties. and now I am just a guy with a daughter with no more parties or girls. I need to have some more fun. I know I said I would help with Rachel, but I didn't mean like I would become a full time dad."
I am scared for her response. she just has like a little worried/ apologetic face on.
"oh Jacob I am so sorry. I didn't realize what I was doing. You know what. you should go take a vacation for yourself or go party or something. I got Rachel for a while." Abby replies
"oh thank you Abby. I thought you were gonna go off on my or something. I would love to take a break but I also just wanna spend a day with you me and Rachel. Family time, you know?  I just feel like we haven't spent any time for that"
"I agree. that's a really good idea. you know your
not the guy you used to be Jacob, and I am
really proud."
"hey now. I haven't gone all soft "
"okay well you go relax. we can do something family tomorrow okay. maybe go Christmas Tree shopping?" "that sounds great. thanks a lot abs. I'll see you tomorrow" "and bye Rachel I love you" I say and walk downstairs and to my car and head home

Abby's pov
wow I feel really bad. I didn't realize I was doing that to Jacob. He is act sully super sweet. I didn't realize all the bad boys had soft spots. I walk back down to see Hunter eating ice cream in the kitchen
"hey babe, what did Jacob want" he says
"oh nothing. he just wanted to talk about Rachel. and I am gonna have to have a raincheck on our plans tomorrow. I am gonna go Christmas shopping with Jacob and Rachel okay?"
"alright no problem. and I think I'm gonna go ahead and leave. I gotta big history project due before winter break starts."
"alright. byeeee" I say as I kiss him a quick kiss and he leaves.
Alright now it's just me and Rachel. I go up to her and take her out of her crib. I put her down and we start to play with her favorite toy. She just looks so happy and cute. I love Rachel so much. I really haven't taken the time to step back and enjoy being a mom. I still can't believe it. I am a mom. I'm very thankful though for Hunter and Jacob, they both help me out so much and I'm glad they will be with me this Christmas, especially since it will be my first without my grandma.
I play with Rachel for another hour or so and then I put her to bed. I go into my room, which feels weird since it was my grandma's only like a month ago. I crawl into bed and watch grey's anatomy. My favorite escape from reality.

I wake up to the sound of screaming through the baby monitor. I get up and go upstairs to change Rachel's diaper and feed her. I look at the time and it's 10:00. wow I must've slept in. all of a sudden Jacob walks into the room
"oh gosh I am sorry" he says and looks down
"it's okay. pretty sure you've seen my breast before" I respond laughing to lighten up the mood.
"I was just here to pick you guys up but I see you just woke up. I'll go get your clothes so you can get ready. you look really tired"
He comes back with a stack of my clothes and to my surprise. He actually has really good taste
"Wow Sartorius. Looks like you've picked out girl clothes before."
"nah I just thought you would look cute in this"
"well let's see if you were right" I say I I get up and give Rachel to Jacob and take the clothes and go change into the bathroom.
I come out in dark skinny jeans, a red flannel, black vest, and brown boots.
"not too bad Jacob"
"you look cute. I told you. now let's put Rachel in a cute winter onesie"
Jacob finished packing the diaper bag as I did my makeup and we were all ready to go.
Once we get to the Christmas place called the "North Pole" we get out the stroller and start looking down the rows for Christmas trees.
"so how have you and Hunter been?" Jacob ask
"we've been good. I am kind've getting tired of spending every day together though. Everyone needs some alone time you know? and he wants to hang out everyday." I reply
"yeah I get it. maybe you should tell him that. Just take some space for the next week" says Jacob
"yeah your right. I'm glad I got to come out here with you and Rachel today. family time"
"family time" Jacob says in echo
"so what's been happening will you and all your girls?" I ask
"what girls. I literally haven't spoken to any girls besides you, Rachel, and my mom. I've just been so busy lately"
"yeah maybe that's good for you though. Not sleeping around. I mean look where it got you" we both laugh
all of a sudden we hear Rachel "tree!" Jacob and I look at each other in shock
"did she just say tree?" Jacob ask
"I think she did" I respond "Rachel what did u say?"
"Tree!" Rachel says and points to this big beautiful Christmas tree
"oh my god. I guess that's the one" Jacob says
I pick Rachel up and hold her in my arm. Jacob hugs me and we just take a moment to just be a family.
"I am so thankful for you guys" says Jacob
"I am thankful for you guys too" I say
