There he was Connor Evans, The guy I've been so madly in love with half of my life. So close yet so far, It may seem so easy, getting him to notice me since we've gone to the same schools since forever, but it's so damn hard! You would say, why don't I just go up to him and say 'Hi'? I wish I could, but every time I tried, I would just freeze and embarrass myself in front of him. Sigh. it's not that I'm not as attractive as the next person, but somehow, I've never had the chance nor the courage to ever hang out with him.

"Ah, admiring prince-books-and-glasses from afar I see." I frowned, "He has a name." I told my ever so dearest friend Stassi, see the sarcasm? "I don't know what you like about him? He's geeky, wears glasses, and he's totally not your type." She said as I turned to look at her. She was leaning on her locker looking at the guy I was admiring mere seconds ago. "I have a type? And he's not even that geeky! He only wears his glasses when he studies-"

"As, if he Studies." She scoffs. "Plus he plays sports. I like sports." I say to her while she just rolls her eyes at me. "You like football, not basketball, see! You don't even like the sport he plays" she states in a matter in fact voice. I opened my locker door ignoring what she just said, and putting my bag, and grabbing the books I need for last-minute studying.

"Seriously though. You don't like him 'that' much" I just stared at her, "what do you mean 'I don't like him that much?' Where did you hit your head? Cause' you've known that I've been in love with him since forever" I say as I closed my locker and turned to look at her, "Precisely. Its been that long. He should've at least noticed you liked him" she said in a monotone voice, and started heading to math class. Oh, math! How I hate you. I just sighed and followed her, not before I looked back at him, he looked so focused reading his notes.

"Hey Pia, have you heard about the rumors?" She asked me as I Caught up with her.

I raised an eyebrow at her. "I'll take that as no." She shook her head at me and smiled, it's not like I care about petty rumors, and she knows it. "It's a small town Stace, I would probably hear it by the end of last period." She shrugged her shoulders, and entered Mr. Sullivan's class and went straight to her seat.

Sigh. Its a good thing this is the last test before summer break. I calmly walk to my seat, right next to the window.

As I sat down I was both happy and dreading my math exams, Happy that after this I have 3 months to waste before senior year and dreading cause, well its math! Believe me when I tell you that I'm pretty average in all my subjects, I get A's, but never in math. Plus who doesn't dread getting an exam you'd most likely known you'd get a really low score at. Tsk.

Focus on the bright side Olympia summer's only a piece of paper away. Sigh. I opened and scanned my notes for last-minute cramming. "Hey, don't stress about it, you'd pass!" Stassi says from beside me, "barely" I reply and she chuckles. One by one the students came and filled the vacant seats.

Connor finally came and sat in the chair in front of me. He turned in his chair and faced me, "good luck on your exams P" he said showing me that million-dollar smile of his, I lowered my head so he couldn't see my blush.

He noticed me, he noticed me.

My luck must be getting better. It's a good thing he turned back as Mr. Sullivan, called everyone's attention because I'd be so embarrassed if he saw how idiotic I looked with the smile I had that was threatening to split my face in half. Stassi was chuckling away when everybody started passing the test papers around.

I looked out the window and sent silent prayers hoping the force be with me if I wanted to pass.

🎉

"Okay, have fun! See you all next year, Now leave my class before I change my mind in letting you out early". Mr. Sullivan said as he was gathering the papers in front of the class.

Everybody was starting to pile out of the room, I was still sat in my chair at the back of the room, looking out the window. Wow, junior year's finally over. Sigh.

"That was one deep sigh there, something bothering you, Ms. Grey?" I looked at him standing at the front of the room. "No, uh. No." I tell him while I looked back out the window. Mr. Sullivan looked at me as if he was trying to read me like one of his thick textbooks, piled on the floor next to his desk. He wasn't one of those old scrawny male teachers you hate in high school, he's pretty great, just not what he teaches, but he's still great.

"You don't seem to be in a hurry, unlike the rest of your friends. No summer plans?" He puts the stack of papers on top of his desk.

"No, it's not that. Uh, I don't know, I'm just not really in a hurry in going home to watch TV while I wait for something to do, you know.." I say, "but I do plan to do that mostly this summer. So I don't know if what I've said earlier was.." he smiled. "I'm rambling I know. But, I guess yeah, It's going to be a boring summer for me, Well I should probably get going. You have stuff to do, and I don't want to keep you from them." I say as I start to stand up from my chair and grab my backpack. As I was walking to the door, I looked back at him, he was looking out the window, somewhere I was looking just looking at.

"Have fun Mr. Sullivan" I tell him as I smiled and he waved back at me saying, "Have an Awesome summer Olympia, I know you'll have a blast" and with that I started walking to my locker to collect my things and walked out to the parking lot.

"What was it that kept you? I've been waiting for you for the past 20 minutes" Stassi says as she rolled down her car window. "Relax mother, Mr. Sullivan let us out an hour early, so technically I have not kept you from anything," I say as I get in. She scrolls at me. "So? Where to?" I asked as she started the car and drove.

"I'm taking you home." She says, "that's a bit boring don't you think?"

"Your mom said we can get ready at your house tonight, plus shes baking Nana's world-famous brownies." She says a grin pops into her face. I roll my eyes. "I figured, then where are you going?"

"I'm going to grab my overnight bag at home, then get you your caffeine. Because everybody knows how much you love your caffeine." I smile. "You know it, a Venti Dark Mocha-"

"White chocolate pudding, extra syrup. I know what your obsessed with pia" she rolls her eyes at me. "Yeah? Well be here by 4, drive safe" I say as she pulls up in front of our house, and I get out of the car. She waves goodbye, and I watch her drive away.

I as you walked to the front porch, you could already smell the brownies mom was cooking, wonder how Stace, knew. I opened the door, "I'm home" I yelled out as I entered the kitchen."Smells great" I say I threw my bag on the countertop. "I wonder how Stassi knows, you'd be baking brownies today," I say as I grab one, and biting on it. I moan.

My mother was in the kitchen baking. I looked so much like my mom, people would joke around saying we looked like twin sisters, almost Identical, I had most of my mom's features, same bright blue eyes, pointed nose, wide smile, almost everything. Except for my hair. My mom was, 5'7 with dirty blonde hair, and yet I was brunette, curtsy of my fathers' genes. My mom turned to look at me and smiled. "She texted me this morning, said you two were going to the bonfire tonight, so I told her I'd bake something for you to bring" my mom, always the perfect motherly housewife.

As she was turning to put the dirty dishes in the sink, an egg was flying past me and landed on the hardwood floor of the kitchen next to where my mother was standing, I then heard little footsteps and giggling from my brothers running away from the direction of the kitchen, she looked at it, and sighed deeply.

"Elliot! Ethan! didn't I tell you to stop throwing eggs at each other inside the house?!" Or at least that's what she believes to be. My mom storms out the kitchen, on the hunt to find my evil twin little brothers. Ah! You can never have a normal day in the Gray household. I sighed, stood up and started dragging my bag up to my bedroom to go take a shower. Its gonna be a long night.
