K: Queen

Chapter 1

"I'm not some sick child who needs monitoring everyday," Reina flashed the nurse a cold smile. It had been about a week since she was admitted into Nanakamado Hospital for some bezoar condition she had.

The doctor hadn't told her what her condition was and they repeatedly refused to let her parents know what it was either. But whatever it was, they'd said that it was a serious condition that required for Reina to be monitored twenty-four seven around the clock.

It was a ridiculous reason and Reina's parents and her knew that. But, in order not to arouse the suspicions of the neighbours and close friends, they had agreed, with Reina still reluctant to do so, and admitted her into the hospital where all Reina was doing was sleep, eat, and more sleep. There were few check ups the doctors had scheduled for her, but it wasn't much compared to the urgency they had when they named her condition.

Stupid hospital...! Reina snorted as she flipped back to her pillow. The nurse had left a few moments ago, tears had definitely been shedding from her eyes, though Reina couldn't fathom why.

Reina wished her mom and dad would come and visit her more often. But, they were off too busy with their work to come. It had been a few days when they admitted Reina into the hospital that they actually visited. They came by a few short times, but that was the end. They hadn't come back yet....

Bored, and thinking it wise not to think of her parents any longer, Reina jumped out of bed and started to the door. Though she wasn't allowed to leave her room, Reina rarely follows any of the rules of the hospital and walked out.

The halls of the hospital wasn't bad. Reina was on the seventh floor and there were a few more levels up. Reina had once left her room to explore a day after she got here, but she had suddenly been found out and take back to her room. She was scolded for it later.

But, even though they scolded about it, Reina had already seen enough of this place to say that it wasn't a normal hospital. It may look like a normal hospital on the outside, but inside the number walls lies a much more fearsome foe that even Reina, can't handle herself.

Deciding to explore into the inner core, Reina sneakily and avoiding the nurses and doctors that went and about their day, she started to the upper floors.

*Reina Hisae is thirteen years old. She has long black hair that gets to her knees, and bright vibrant red eyes. Her skin is pale and she usually wears black and white Gotjic Lolita dresses. White stockings, and red high heeled shoes. She wears a red lace ribbon around her wait as an accessory. Reina is relatively short and is about the same height as Anna, though a bit taller.*
