Cameron's p.o.v

I gasp and turn around and I'm looking at the face of the one and only Jake Smith. The popular jock. The charmer. The perfect boy as every girl claims. Or in this case my boyfriend. The story with us is we met in freshman year of highschool. I was very shy and he helped me be more social. The type of guy who would bring me roses and chocolates. The one who would defend me. He was perfect....Or so I thought.

I smile up at him.

C: Hey babe
J: Hey princess. Want me to walk you to your class?

After hearing the awws coming out of my friends mouths I say goodbye and walk down the hall hand in hand with Jake. These people see the perfection couple. They see love. No one will ever suspect that this is just a game. An act. No one sees the true us. Our real relationship isn't even close to perfection . I see everyone's stares especially the girls. There was only one stare that intimidated me though.....

His blue eyes pierced into my eyes but felt like they were looking through my soul. My inner self. So many memories flashed through his eyes. Those eyes that used to always know when I was afraid. Those hands that used to wipe away my tears. And those arms that would wrap around me so I felt safe. And I did. I always felt safe in his arms. His image has clearly changed from the schools innocent kid to the bad boy. Even though he has changed I still see the boy that I fell in love with all those years ago. I see the boy that would never love me like I would love him. I see the boy that was my everything. I see my Xbestfriend.
