The concert had already started, the music playing and crowd cheering. Nothing was going right for her. She was hoping to get a close spot, but with the traffic, it was just too exhausting trying to fight it. Shoving through the crowd of spastic fans, sweating and the lights glistening off their soaked skin, she made her way towards the front, ignoring the cursing that was spat at her.
Chewing on her lip, Regina looked onto the stage, and luckily for her, the group she wanted to see most weren't on. Hopefully, she prayed, they hadn't already been on. But the group now was also one of her favorites, and she smiled, listening to their beautiful voices singing in the language she learn only recently.
She grinned as a girl next to her gave her a look and playfully bumped her hip against hers. Before she knew it, the song was over and the boys left the stage, leaving it quiet for a while, despite the whistles echoing around.
"You want to get closer?! SHINee is on next!"
Regina stopped and looked back over at the same girl. She wore a bright smile, her eyes begging for someone to tag along with her. Before Regina could answer, the girl took her hand and started pulling her towards the stage. They moved deeper into the fog and the sweltering heat the surrounding bodies gave off.
"What is your name? I'm Cheyenna!"
"Regina, nice to meet you." She laughed, trying to keep up. Cheyenna spoke again but the growing screams over powered the girl's voice, and they were forced to just stare at the stage, waiting.
Suddenly five boys ran out onto the stage, and music began to play. "Are you ready New York!?" Taemin yelled, moving his arms up, signaling them to get louder. The two hollered as well, cupping their hands around her mouth, as if it would project it better.
They started singing, and there was only one boy her gaze was fixed on. And his name was Key. Well, that was his stage name. Kim Ki-bum had always been on her mind, and her heart was pounding as she watched him dance before her, singing her favorite songs. Her eyes wouldn't leave him, not for a second as she was hooked to the way the corners of his mouth would curve slightly at times into a smile.
Key kept dancing, as well as the others and she was fascinated with all of it. "Regina, isn't this the greatest?!" Cheyenna laughed and clapped her hands, singing along. Regina nodded, singing along as well, but mostly to herself.
She was floating, being consumed by the song, the singing, the beat. And when Key's eyes landed on her for a quick moment, she would remember that moment forever, imprinting it in her mind.

Cheyenna walked out of the concert hall with her newest friend, and Regina couldn't feel happier. She feared going alone at first, but after meeting the outgoing girl, she felt relieved. Like every day in New York City, the streets were crowded and people were flooding the sidewalks.
"That was such an awesome concert! They all looked so cool in person, I've been a fan for a long time, and I will never forget this night! And I also got to meet you, Regina." Cheyenna hugged her friend quickly, and grinning at her.
Regina breathed out and smiled shyly, pressing her lips together. They each bought a tour shirt on their way out, and she clutched it tightly in her hand. If only she could have gotten it signed, but at least she had proof she came. No one believed she would have been able to muster up the courage to make it, yet here she was.
She was shook from her thoughts when her hand was taken a hold of. "Well I have to go now, sorry we couldn't hang out any longer. Can I have your number, so I can treat you to lunch some time?" Chest fluttering, her eyes widened and she smiled, hurriedly writing her number down, her name in big letters, a heart after it. "Thanks, Regina! Don't forget about me!" She waved and ran off down the street, catching a taxi.
Regina turned around, rubbing her hands together, remembering she forgot her gloves. A man bumped into her roughly, shoving her backwards. She lost her balance and began falling, but she stopped short and hands grabbed her arms. After being positioned upright, she turned to thank her savior, but her lungs stopped working and her heart slowed.
Ki-bum was standing there, with the others as well behind him. Holding her hand to her chest, she bit her lip and looked away. "I'm so sorry."
"No need to be sorry." Key laughed, watching her, and her heart sped with each twitch of his lips.
She nodded, mostly wanting to get away before she made a fool of herself. "Well thank you, for catching me, I mean."
Key waved his hand at the other four, smiling as they walked away. "Did you enjoy yourself?"
"What?" Regina looked at him, confused at his sudden, and strange question. What was he saying? He covered his mouth slightly and chuckled, pointing to the shirt in her hand. Looking down, it took her a moment and she met his eyes. "Oh! Ah, yes I did, very much!"
He smiled and her cheek grew warm. He was really cute, even in person. "Want to walk with me? I think you are funny."
He walked away and she was left standing there, dumbfounded for a moment. It was all a dream, right? It had to be. Yet, she followed him anyways, curious about what he was up to. He sat down on a swing, and she realized they had entered the park. Sitting on the one next to him, she stared down at her feet.
"New York is very pretty."
Regina moved her eyes to him, but he was staring at the sky. "It has it's moments." She laughed softly and gazed up as well.
What was she supposed to do now? What was she supposed to say to the one her made her heart throb and head spin? It wasn't just an image on a computer screen anymore. He was there, sitting beside her.
"Would there be a chance to see you again?" His voice sounded, breaking her trance.
He wanted to see her? "But why me? I live a pretty boring life."
Key chuckled and began moving back and forth on the swing, but only a couple of inches. "I don't know, you're cute." He grinned and she snapped her head away, pressing a hand to her cheek. "If not, we can do something tonight."
"You are very sociable, aren't you? I mean, we only just met, and you want to do something with me." He blinked, tilting his head slightly. She didn't offend him, did she? Regina didn't have a lot of social skills, or any at all with celebrities. She only watched videos of them and looked at pictures, but never talked to one.
Key stood up and started spinning around in circles, his boots crunching in the snow. He was giggling, and doing a weird dance. She stood as well, watching his curiously. If he wasn't careful, he'd fall down. Snow was tricky, and if your foot made one wrong move, it was going to take you down. He did just that, his heel grabbing shoved into now packed snow, and he fell backwards. She hurried after him, but did the same mistake, not lifting her foot and she paid the consequences.
Her face was cold. Sitting up, Regina heard the faint sound of laughter, and the source was him. He had rolled over and buried his face into the snow. She wanted to cry now. He was laughing at her.
He rolled back over and wiped his eyes, turning to her. "I'm sorry, but that was too funny. Are you okay though?" She nodded and was about to stand, when he grabbed her wrist. "No, sit back down. I don't want to get up, and if you do, you'll probably leave me."
Lying on her back, she stared up at the black sky. It was cold, but just being close to him gave her heart a new warmth. He grabbed her hand, squeezing it gently. She nibbled on her lip and looked away, tears forming in her eyes. This was ridiculous. She was never going to see him again, so what was he doing?
Whatever it was, it was real. If no one believed her, at least she would remember it, and that's what was important.
