Amoura spends the next day filling out all the appropriate paperwork before getting her night patrol schedule in order. "Come on Stone, we're S.L's till the Monday that can wait till then," Unbeknownst to her fellow friends, Stone will become Captain on her twenty-second birthday.

She follows Williams to her unit, "alright we leave in twenty but first, Hendy, Stark here I need you two to sign these papers?" They walk up to her.

"What are they, ma'am?" She hands the papers over to them.

"Your promotion papers, fill them out as soon as possible, the two of you will be promoted to my S.L's when I become Captain this upcoming Monday."

They look at her surprised, "yes, ma'am!" Amoura waits for Williams to give Mac and Itly their promotion papers before heading out.

Williams takes half the unit and goes east of the airport and Stone goes west, they were to regroup on the other side. Captain Granger was on a tower looking over the area. "All seems clear," Granger speaks into the earpiece. Amoura uses her wolf eyes as she looks around.

"To the north, get down!" Just as Amoura warns her squad they are caught in a rainfall of bullets.

"Anyone shot?"  She asks once the gunfire stops.

"Squad medic is hit!" Amoura looks across the street and sees, Stark holding onto Lynn trying to put pressure on the wound.

"Is the bleeding slowing down?" Amoura asks as she looks out for humans, he tells Amoura no.

"Add more pressure," Amoura picks up Starks' rifle and heads back to a building. The shots are coming from the country club. Stone lays on the rooftop floor and looks for any human who isn't covered. She shoots those on the rooftops before scanning the ground.

 Hendy takes her spot so Stone can shift and run in, three of the other wolves in her squad join her, they split up, two surround them from each side and Stone and her rook Blake go head-on. They mane anyone around them before making their way into houses to kill anyone with a gun. A frequency box goes off and the other three wolves whimper in pain, Stone forces the change back and follows the frequency.

She kills the human before destroying the box, she collapses as her body tries to stop shaking from the pain. She tries to shift but the pain keeps her from focusing, as she tries to regain focus. She gets up and makes her way to her rooks. She nudges them awake before motioning for them to follow her back.

Stone looks to Hendy who was waving her arms desperately trying to get them to notice her, Stone turns and sees a jeep rushing over to them. Stone shoves Blake aside and gets the full frontal hit from the jeep. Stone doesn't understand why she didn't hear the vehicle coming or why despite feeling multiple bones break not be able to hear them?

The three rooks kill the humans inside the jeep before getting something to cover Stone's body and carry her back to safety. Hendy jumps down and rushes over to them, the frequency has left them deaf, for despite Hendy yelling none of them could hear her.

Hendy takes them back to Stark who was covering a dead Lynn. Stark and Hendy argue before coming up with a plan. Stone who was more unconscious than conscious coughs up blood, for some reason she wasn't healing properly.

They quickly make it to the end of the street and make their way inside the airstrip where Williams squad was waiting. Williams was panicking as Stone was looking worse by the second.

They call Granger telling him about Stone being in bad shape and rush her back to base. William stays back with his squad and all of Stones except for the two wolves protecting Blake who was carrying Stone depart. They hand Stone to medics who were waiting and rush her to the medical wing of the mall.
