                      “What’s with the change of style every time we move?” My older brother named Tyler asked looking at my outfit. I was just wearing a yellow sundress that falls to the middle of my thighs, a brown belt under my bust, and brown ankle boots. I had my auburn hair curled and makeup to make my green eyes stand out. You see, every time we move for my dad’s job I change my style. Last time I was the preppy rah-rah girl of the school. It was like changing your identity or starting over. I would be a nerd the next move, a slut, a Goth, a laid back smoker, or and unnoticed girl the next, and now I just want to finally just be myself.

“I don’t think that’s any of your business,” I said shouldering my bag for school.

“So are you taking me to school or is Sarah?” I asked. I have an older sister and an older brother. My older sister is like the perfect daughter anyone could ask for. She’s beautiful, fun, smart, caring, and selfless. She’s always busy and always has our parent’s attention with everything she does. He pointed to himself and grinned.

“Sarah already left,” he stated. I waited patiently for my brother to finish his orange juice so we could go. I hated having an older brother because he got my parents old car which meant he’s my ride to school unless Sarah waits behind but she’s never late for anything. Having him drive me to and from school is a bad thing because he’s a player so he brings girls home, and that means that he makes me walk.

“Come on Ky your spacing out again!” My brother shouted from the front door. I snapped out of my staring contest with the wall and skidded over to the door where my brother was standing impatiently. I smiled guiltily.

“Sorry!” I put on my puppy dog face. No one could resist my puppy dog face….I was the true master at it. His face softened and he nodded softly.

“It’s okay Ky just get in the car.” He motioned for me to walk to the car. I nodded and walked to the car hopping in the passenger’s seat. He got in the driver’s side and started the car.

             He parked in the parking lot of the school and turned off the engine. He turned to me and put on his I’m the older-protective-brother-if-you-hurt-hurt-her-I-will-kick-your-ass look on his face. “Don’t let any guy come up and talk to you! If they touch you or talk to you come get me,” he stated. I sighed and nodded. He’s always been protective of me but he’s only a year older than me. He’s a senior and I’m a junior which means I’m almost done with high school sort of. I did undo my seatbelt and he unlatched his. When we got out of the car all eyes were on us. Well mostly the girl’s eyes were on my brother. The boys’ eyes were on me which made me kind of uncomfortable. We started to walk to the building when a group of girls who looked like hookers strutted over to my brother. He smirked at them and got them under his spell charm. I rolled my eyes and tugged on his arm to follow me. He pulled his arm free and scowled at me. “Just go get your schedule and I’ll see you after school,” he demanded. I nodded and walked strode into the building that was labeled ‘office.’

            There was an old lady there at the desk with a computer in front of her. “Excuse me,” I said sweetly. She peered down at me and smiled.

“Why hello dear, what do you need?” She asked, pushing her glasses up on her nose with her forefinger.

“I just need my schedule. I’m new here! My name is Kylee Adams,” I said as she started typing frantically on her keyboard. She smiled as the printer started and a piece of paper came out. She gripped it with her small hand and passed it to me.
