A/N- Alright guys. In the note on my profile I said this story was still a concept. I was gonna wait to put it up put you know what? I haven't put up anything for a long time so here you go.

I stood up from the desk and stretched my arms over my head. Yawning, I close the small, leather bound book I had been writing in and turn off the desk lamp. Grabbing my journal, I throw on my cheap leather jacket. I hated that thing. I only wore it for my mom's sake. Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I walk past the main desk and waved at the old librarian.

"Bye, Nikolai." She said, smiling at me.

"Bye." I said as I marched out the door. The cold air November night air hit me like a wall. It had frosted for the first time this morning, I hate cold. Motorcycles and cold don't go well.

I smiled as I marched down the small hill towards my motorcycle. It was by far one of my most prized possessions. It used to be my dad's, but after his buddy died in an accident, he didn't feel safe on it anymore. I always thought that was silly. Who wouldn't want to ride such an awesome thing?

It wasn't one of those weird handlebars-taller-than-I-am bikes. No, my aunt called it a crotch rocket. In a way it kinda was, you had to lean forward to grip the handles. But the slick black paint (which I did myself) and soft leather seats made it seem anything other than a large, bulky rocket.

I put my bag in the small container in the back for storage, and slipped my journal in my pocket as I grabbed my helmet from the back as well. My helmet was the same as the bike, small, compact, and black. But it had faded blue around the edges. I loved the thing.

Pulling it on, I swung my leg over the seat and turned on my vehicle. I loved the pur it made, not a roar, just a strong steady pur. Beautiful. I switched on the headlights and shuddered as a chilling breeze blew through, cutting right through my jacket. I really hated the cold.

I pulled my legs up as I drove out of the small parking lot, my single headlight allowing me to see in the dark night. As I turned onto the road, I shuddered again. Not sure what it was that time, weird. But I drove along, steadily reaching the speed limit of 50 and took a few slow turns.

As I neared home, I saw the old intersection up ahead. I recalled that I had the right of way, so there was no stopping needed. So I cruised along. I began to admire the dark landscape around me. The trees towering above were coated in a sparkling layer of frost. The stars in the sky were as bright as ever, almost like a map, leading me to my greatest desire. And the sound of--

Wait.

I turned my head toward the noise as I zoomed into the intersection. Only to see two blinding white lights.
