MCPD: Magical creatures police department

Maria wasn't enjoying her afternoon. As much as she wanted to see her crush shirtless, Joshua had cut marks all over him. It all started when Joshua asked Maria if she and her friends would like to join him and his friends to a movie. Without hestitation, Maria agreed.

She was happy that her friends Stacy and Nicole agreed. Stacy was avoiding Marcus, Joshua's best friend, because he was creeping her out. While Nicole had to miss violin practice for an important event. They were doing this for her and that's why she love those two. As Maria and her friends met up with Joshua and his friends. Maria couldn't get her eyes off Joshua.

A good looking boy with a clear complexion, lean body, and an amazing smile. He would always have messy hair, which Maria thought was cute. Compared to her, who was a short, freckled, red-head, she'd hit the jackpot with Joshua. As they went in, Marcus tried to talk with Stacy, while Nicole spoke with Adam, the student body president of Senator Renato "Compañero" Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School. Which left her with Joshua.

"You look good today, Maria." said Joshua. "Thanks." replied Maria. She blushed so hard that she had to look away since Joshua might find her weird. "Are you blushing?" said Joshua in an amused tone. "No." said Maria "Its just my freckles. I'm my dad's Irish while my mom's a Filipino." Joshua laughed "Oh, so your blameing your parents now!" 

Maria noticed a few men outside the theaters. They looked like regular movie-goers, but Maria had a bad feeling about these men. As Joshua saw these men, he took her hand said to her in a hushed tone "Maria, go tell your friends to get out of here." Confused, Maria said "What?"

As soon as he said it, the men walked near them and one said "Why the hurry, Joshua?"

"Do you know them?" said Stacy.

"These are just ordinary humans Leonardo." scowled Adam. "You know the rules, we are not allowed to meddled in the affairs of regular beings."

"Don't talk with me you mediocre wizard," warned the man Leonardo "I'm here to talk with Joshua. Why don't you do your stargazing or something."

This confused Maria and her friends, its like they're lesser beings than the men that are with them. This man that was named Leonardo looked like his friends, she assumed that they are siblings. Leonardo was beefy with hairy arms and long hair. Another one had a goatee and hairy legs. While the shortest of the three strangers looked very weak and feeble. Yet, they looked normal people.

"I told you no. Also, I can't talk anything in front of these ladies." said Joshua.

"Well" said Leonardo with a cold smile "Lets just 'remove them' from here, shall we?"

The three friends were all laughing then slowly they melted together. They gradually became a figure. A lion like figure with horns and a scorpion's tail. The creature spoke in Leonardo's voice however in a raspy tone. "Are you prepared to die, ladies?"

Nicole screamed. Which caught everybody's attention. As soon as they saw the beast, Everybody outside the theater ran away immediately. Then Leonardo lunged to them with a roar. He was about to hit Maria, when Joshua blocked him.

"Adam!" Joshua yelled "prepare the memory spell, Marcus get the girls out of here. I'll deal with lion breath here." Marcus brought the ladies to the end of the hallway near the exit while Adam started to glow and Joshua ran towards the beast.

As they got somewhere safe, Marcus said "Go to sleep" as soon as he said it, Nicole and Stacy went to sleep. Maria was still awake. "How did you make them sleep? What is going on?" said a confused Maria. "Why are you--" as Marcus was about to finish his words, Adam was running, Joshua was floating with him and screamed "RUN!"

Joshua was full of cuts and was bleeding greatly. They huddled together and Adam started speaking in words Maria couldn't understand. As soon as she saw Joshua's cuts. She instantly passed out.

Maria woke up in a hospital. She saw Adam and Marcus sitting next to her. Across her bed was Joshua. He was covered with bandages, which made Maria worried. "Where am I?" asked Maria. Adam tugged Marcus' shirt and said "She's awake."

Marcus stood up immediately and said "How do you feel, Maria?"

"I feel dizzy, but I'm fine." Maria said "What just happened?"

"What?" said Adam

"There was this man who turned into a weird creature. And Marcus made my friends go to sleep without question. And Joshua was hurt. And--" Maria said as she recounted the weird events that just happened.

"See? She's immune to my magic and I'm afraid to yours too Adam." said Marcus. "I don't understand. Why?"

"Wait, magic? Magic is real? That mean's Hogwarts is real right?" said Maria in a dazed voice.

Marcus tried not to laugh but Adam patiently explained "No, it doesn't. I think you should take a rest Maria. You had a long--"

"She's a dragon" said a mysterious man who just opened the door.

"Commander Thatch" both Marcus and Adam bowed low "What are you doing here?"

"Uncle Edward?" said Maria "What's going on?"

"Uncle?!" said Adam in shock "You're related to Commander Thatch?"

"No. He's my father's best friend." said Maria " and what do you mean by 'I am a dragon'?"

"You'll understand soon enough lass." replied Thatch "I'm not in the right position to talk about it. It's Manny's job to tell his daughter who she really is and not mine.

"Manny?" said Marcus "You're related to Commander Arellano? That explain's everything"

Adam nodded. This made Maria even more confused. How could his dad be a commander. Her dad worked as a writer in the local newspaper. And, what kind of army does a newspaper writer leads?

"Uncle," said Maria "I was attacked by a--"

"Chimera." cut Thatch "I will take care of him after I'm done here. Right now, go to sleep hija." He touched her head and she instantly went to sleep.
