I toss and turn around in my bed, feeling so overwhelming uncomfortable no matter which way I'm laying. I reach over to my night stand and grab my phone to check the time. Its the day before Halloween and its only 1:45 am now. I sit up, putting my feet down from my bed and waddle my way to the bathroom. It feels like my baby is more closer to my vagina now and not actually near the top of my stomach....like right where my intestines...that's where he is. I bend over to sit down on the toilet and suddenly a pain shoots all the way to my lower back.
"Sssssshh--itt" I say softly in pain. After doing my business, I hesitate to move because of the pain in my back growing each time I turn. I've had to been sitting on the toilet for like 20 minutes by now and I'm still so tired. I slowly get up and wipe myself, pulling up my panties. I flush and turn to wash my hands and then the pain returns but down right above my vagina now. It feels like a really bad menstrual cramp...really bad one. I bite my lip, holding my lower back and my ass in soo much pain. I take a few deep breaths which seems to ease the pain somewhat. Then, I try and walk back to my room now slightly panicking. It hurted so much walking, but I had to suck it up and call someone. Opening the door, I feel the pain progress tighter and tighter.
"Ahhhh! Ooouchh.. fuck!" I scream leaning against the wall holding my entire lower bady. I think I'm having contractions which is definitely a sign that my baby is coming soon. I panicked, breathing louder than usual and reach for my phone. I quickly dial 911 whimpering in pain.
"Hello what is your emergency? The operator picks up.
"I think I'm in labor! And I can't move my body anymore" I say quickly
"Okay ma'am just calm down, where are you located"
"I'm at......"
"Okay ma'am help is on the way, so hold tight" she hangs up
I drop my phone, grabbing my stomach immediately after. I was in so much pain, I wanted to cry and scream...in fact I did both😣 Screaming to the top of my lungs and moaning in pain seemed so pleasurable right about now. I try calling Jamal like 6 times and no answer. Then I instantly hear sirens and can see the flashing lights through my window. They start banging on the door but shit if they think I'm going down them steps like this...they've must have lost their damn minds. I then hear a big boom and glass shattering on the floor, they've had to bust through my front door by that sound.
"Hey ma'am. How are you feeling? I paramedic comes in with gloves.
"I can't move...my baby is coming I think" I clench on to my belly.
"Do you feel any pressure?
"Yes right above my opening"
"Did you see any blood at any time?
"No" I moan
"Okay let's get you to the hospital" he helps me up.
"Ouch! Sssssss...I can't walk, I can't"
"Okay, hold on to me" he picks my bigass up and takes me outside.
They helped me on to a stretcher and place me in back of the ambulance. Two of the guys sat in the back with me as we drove off to the hospital.
"Can you text my friend for me please" I lift my head up and give him my phone.
"What's the name"
"Umm...it's under Daddy" I say so feeling embarrassed
They both laugh. "Um, okay so what do you want me to type"
"Say..I'm in labor and I'm on my way to the main hospital downtown"
"Okay, here you go" he slides it back into my hoodie pocket.
Nope...I didn't have any pants on. I was just in a hoodie and some PINK underwear. I'm so embarrassed, it's sad. But a few minutes later, they stop and roll me into the hospital. Rushing down the hall and into a delivery room.
*4:08 am*
"Okay Ms. Tyler, your cervix is dilated completely to 10 centimeters. So I think it's time to have this baby" my doctor informs me
"Already?! But my family isn't here"
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, but the baby is going to be crowning any minute now"
"Oh my god" I lay my head back feeling nervous
"It's alright to be nervous, it's completely normal but we'll make sure your okay"
"Okay" I say feeling them open my legs.
A few more nurses come in with pieces of equipment and they stick an IV in my arm. The main doctor slides on his glasses and touches inside of my vagina.
"Okay now, just give me a 10 second push" he looks up at me.
I take a huge deep breath and count to 10 in my head as I push. "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm" my eyes squeeze shut from me pushing so hard.
"Yes your doing great" he looks down
I stop pushing and gasp for air. So much pain rushed up my whole body, I can definitely feel a head coming out of my hole.
"Ahh! Oh god!
"Push Ms. Tyler"
"Mmmmmm ughhh! Fuck!" I pushed really hard feeling the shoulders now.
"Yes he's almost out! A nurse holds my hand.
I push again, so exhausted from the pain and hold it for 20 seconds instead of 10.
"He's out! Now for the placenta" he says then hands the baby to a nurse.
I started panting, looking over at my new baby as he gets cleaned up and blood taken out from his mouth. He begins to cry now taking his first breath of air. It was music to my ears hearing him alive and crying, I had just gave birth to a actual human being. "I'm a mother now..."I say to myself smiling.
"Here goes your little boy" the nurse hands him to me.
He was so tiny and soft and just so precious. His eyes were closed along with his tiny little hands touching his face. My heart just filled with so much joy looking at what I created and brought into the world.
"Hi little guy, it's so good to finally see you" I say softly to him. "I love you already" I kiss his forehead.
"Awwe, what name are you giving him? A nurse asked as she cleaned up.
"I was thinking Isaac.....yeah he looks like a Isaac. Right? And I'm going to raise you to be so intelligent too little guy" I rubbed his cheeks.
"How adorable. But would you like him circumcised?
"Oh. Yes...when does he have to get it"
"Well I'm a go get the tools and do it myself, be right back" she leaves out of the room.
"Mommy's little man" I whisper softly to him. He finally opens his eyes a little, making me so happy for him to look at me. "You open you eyes for me, hi I'm your Mami handsome" I talked in my baby voice.
*Door opens*
"Look who it is" I say to Isaac
