" Jarrett! Nothing is wrong I promise. Please quit asking."

" I'm not going to quit asking until you tell me why you've been in such a bad mood and sneaking off every time it's time to eat. I'm worried about you Ally, come on we are best friends we tell each other everything. We've known each other since we were pups, so please tell me what is wrong."

I was scared to tell my best friend I have diabetes, I mean what would he say too all this and the fact I am hiding this, he'd kill me. Mom and dad said it was my choice to tell people about it. I guess I'll have to tell the pack soon after all I am their future alpha Jarrett's beta. I am the best fighter and his best friend. I took a long thought on it and decided I'd tell him.

"Okay Jarrett, I'll tell you. I got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just three weeks ago and I'm learning the ropes still. I mean this is all new to me, I was afraid to tell you because I thought you wouldn't let me be beta. Mom and dad said I could come out with it when I felt the time was right. All those time you saw me get enraged about something stupid like Andrea dropping the plate and me going on a rage, it was my blood sugar going high. We found out I had it when the pack doctor asked if I've been angry more than you and I said well yeah. He took a random finger stick,and the results came up at 614. He told me I'd have it the rest of me life even though I am a werewolf, but hey it could me worse. He also told me anything past 140 is considered high." I finished in a rush not making any eye contact with him.

" ALLYSON! How could you not have told me?! What the hell!"

" Jarrett! Calm down, I knew you'd react just like this. Please just calm down... I'm sorry I kept a secret like this from you, I know I should've told you it's just I was too scared."

Jarrett's prov

I knew I blew up at Allyson, I didn't mean too, but how could she keep a huge secret like this from me? Her not telling me sooner could've hurt her and the pack. She is the best fighter I've got I don't know what I'd do without her. She is my best friend.

" Shhh ally shhhh I'm sorry I got mad at you, just promise you won't keep anything like this from me again." I said as I took her into my arms and hugged her tightly. I was only worried because ally is like my younger sister, I am the only child from my parents so I treat ally like a little sister which I know she is grateful for.

" I promise Jarrett, can you take me to max's house I promised him I'd hang out with him since we haven't in about 3 days. I've been so busy and, I really miss him." I looked at her and could clearly see the pain of being away from her mate. I still haven't found my mate yet, but when I do I will not let her go ever. I sometimes long to see her, I've always dreamed she smelt like peppermint and woods mixed with a little peach and blueberry smell. I grabbed the car keys and shook that thought aside and opened the door for Ally.

"Come on Ally let's go drop you off with your mate!"
