The crisp Thursday morning of June 17th, 2018. Our "Hero" awoke with a loud and upset sounding groan, but there were two things that always would make him smile. The scent of fresh cooked breakfast and his wife, almost like clockwork he checked his phone to see the time, 11:45 AM and from the kitchen heard the voice that he could only describe as "Blissful"over the sound of bacon sizzling. "Honey! Breakfast is ready!" she seemed to pipe up, she did love to cook. "Be down in a sec!" He yelled in return he hurriedly stumbled down the stairs almost falling because he forgot the last step. The house was small but did have a spare bedroom and a small upper level where the master bedroom and bathroom were. The beige walls contrasted well with the dark wooded floors, the steps had white carpeted stairs and the kitchen was well decorated to his wive's taste, he never really had a say when it came to decorating the house. He never seemed to mind. He quietly waked into the kitchen as she was cooking bacon, he hugged her from behind and she smiled. "Well good morning sleepy head! Mind telling me if I did a good  job?" She asked. "Food critic? sounds good! I get paid to eat! I mea-" He was cut off by her shoving a piece of bacon in his mouth and he chomped down on it and his eyes widened. "That's really good babe!" He exclaimed. "Thanks! Oh and there's some mail for you on the table." She pointed to a black envelope sealed with with a red wax stamp. "Ooh fancy, but... I never get mail besides the bills. Weird." he walked over and cracked the red wax seal. He pulled out a piece of folded paper, "I think its a letter... Who writes letters anymore?" He sounded puzzled but she shrugged it off and he cleared his throat and read aloud. "Dear Alexander, It has been a long time since you and I spoke. I know you must be lost but we did go to Junior High together, although that seems long ago. You however seem to have settled down, a nice little home in Washington State. How lovely it must be. I do hope this gets to you fairly soon! You may write back if you oh so wish. But I digress, the reason why I have contacted you was to invite you to my humble home! You see, I am throwing a sort of get away reunion type party if you wish to call it that. I have sent Invitations to the following; Charlie and Rebecca W. , Jeremy M. , Sarah R. and Rodney J. I hope you'll join! Sincerely - Dexter O'Conner" He smiled "Well? Wanna go Sweetie?" he asked "Sure! I'll get packing!"
