Chapter 1.

I sit on a crowded plane in coach. Yeah, coach. I may be rich but I'm saving as much money as possible. At the same time, I miss the soft fabric of the completely reclinable chairs. Ugh, I sound like my mother. 'I love my rich life style and these peasant quarters are not good enough for me.'
No, this is fine. The people are friendly for the most part. Accept for the one man five rows up. He could be given a manners lesson. I could just see him now sitting at a table with twelve different forks trying to choose the right salad fork. The thought makes me smile.
The flight attendant walks by in her tight red skirt. She stops next to me. "Do you want some more coffee Ms?" She asks politely.
"No thank you." I say back with a smile. 'But I will take your number.' I think to myself. Almost as she read my mind she pulls out a tiny slip of paper from her breast pocket and puts it in my hand.
"Have a good rest of your flight..." She awaits my name.
"Brie. Brie Daniels." I extend my hand. She shakes it with a pink tint to her cheeks.
"Amanda Green." She says. "Have a nice flight." She smiles and pushes her silver cart up the isle. Greeting the people. Amanda gets about five rows up and then it happens.
A man places his hand on her but. "I would rather you not touch me sir." She says uncomfortable.
"Don't be like that. How about you give me some first class amenities." He pulls her closer to him.
"Sir please stop." She tries to pull away. I can't take it. I pull my seat belt off and get up. I aggressively pull his hand off her and step I front of her in a protective manner.
"You need to respect her wishes and back up." I say in a deep voice.
"Hey, I don't know what your deal is," he pauses to regain his thought. He reeks of alcohol. Clearly drunk. "You need to mind your own business!" He says getting angry. I see him undo his seat belt and shift his body.
"Amanda run." I say as I push her out of the way. Just as I do the man lunges at me. I side step and he hits his head on a chair. He lays on the floor still conscious. He gets up with blood on his forehead.
He steps forward and I punch him in the face. He shakes his head, dazed but he stumbles for ward. Two body shots and I step back. He looks out raged. He grabs my neck and I can't breath. I feel my feet be lifted off the ground. Soon black starts to take over my vision. Out of complete desperation I kick him in the crotch. I fall to the ground struggling for breath.
I place my hand on my neck feeling for my pulse. It's slow. I take deep breaths in between coughs. I see him move for Amanda. This dude won't give up. She crumbles to the floor screaming. I grab his foot and he face plants into the floor. I crawl over to Amanda and wrap my arms around her. She scoots closer to me shaking.
Two men get up and restrain the man. He has a bloody face and a foul scent. I place my hand back on my neck breathing heavy. A man and woman who claim to be doctors assist us. My knuckles are bloody and I banged my head when he dropped me. I didn't even notice. I am back in my seat and Amanda was next to me.
"Thanks for that." She says with her smooth British accent. "I can't tell you how many times people hit on me."
"Well he didn't know I was on here. He should have thought twice." I say glancing up at the man. He has the male doctor working on him. Two men sit on either side of him. And he is prohibited from more alcohol and from taking off his seat belt.
"Your lucky to have such a devoted partner." The doctor says as she bandages my hand.
"We're not a couple." Amanda says as she looks at me tenderly.
"Wow. You protected he so fiercely I just assumed..." Her voice trails off as she examines my head. "This is going to sting." She says a she places an alcohol wipe in my head.
"Ouch!" I say as I breath in deeply. Amanda grabs my hand.
"Squeeze my hand when it hurts." She says as if I was a labor.
"Really it's okay. I don't want to break your hand." I say with a smile, but I don't let go.
"I would take her up on that offer this is going to hurt." She puts a cream or something on my head and it burns like a little bitch.
"Here focus on me." Amanda touches my chin and had me face her. Her soft, fair skin and bright, caring brown eyes. Her soft lips, kissable.
"All done." The doctor says. I break my eye contact with Amanda and turn to the doctor.
"Thank you." I say. She smiles as looks from Amanda to me.
"No problem." She says. "And I just want to say I'm impressed with how you handled a man his size." She says almost as if she was hitting on me.
"Thanks." I say. Amanda's grip on my hand tightens. "And thanks again for the patch up." I say. She nods and stands up.
"Good luck you two." She says with a smile and walks off. She takes her seat in the back of the plane and her male fellow joins her. I look out the window and the sun is setting. A woman in the same uniform as Amanda walks over.
"Captain said your off for the night and can have a few nights off." She looks at me and smiles. "Thanks for stepping in. That could have gotten a lot worse if I didn't."
"I'm sure someone would have stepped in. Or I would hope so at least. Have a good flight." I say.
  "You as well." She says.
"And you should get some sleep." I say to Amanda. She looks at me with a hint of fear on her gorgeous eyes. "Don't worry, I'm here." I say. With that she closes her eyes and leans her head on my shoulder
