* Picture of Violet^^*
Love me or hate me, both are in my favor. If you love me, I'll always be in your heart, if you hate me I'll always be on your mind.
This is a quote by one of my all favorite writers, William Shakespeare. His tragedies strike a chord with me and although I cannot relate to them, I certainly can relate to the pain felt by the characters or just pain in general. Usually let that pain flow down my pale cheeks but only in the confines of my room.
Outside my room, to the world, I am Violet Amanda Styles, the top lawyer of a multinational law firm Santos & Adams Law Inc. Ruthless lawyer by the day, kickass boxer by night. There's a reason that they call me Bitch in Heels and I intend to maintain that reputation.
After all nobody crosses me the wrong way and is sane enough to tell the tale.
But I wasn't always like this. I was fun to be around, I smiled all the time, made jokes and got shit faced at every possible opportunity, though never did I go near any kind of drugs, nasty things those little fuckers.
I was undecided and uncertain in life, stuck between the love of literature and my passion for law, but never did let it cloud my days of being reckless and carefree.
But, I changed. I changed because of one tragedy that struck our family in the worst possible way. My parents died in a horrible car crash leaving me and my little sister orphaned. All because of one motherfucking drunk driver. That rascal is still alive and my parents are dead.
though not for long, as long as I am concerned that fucker has numbered days.
I was only 17, off to college because I had finished school early and my sister just turned two. I had gotten myself emancipated soon after my parent's death because I did not want my sister to be taken away from me.
The process had been hard for an orphan like me but with the reputation of my father being one of the top lawyers of his time, he had many efficient and reliable friends that helped me out.
My sister, Caley, is my whole world. The only person I smile for, though only a little. She although is my sister, looks nothing like me. I mean appeaeance wose we look a lot alike, but there is just something that makes her look a lot different than me. She, on one hand is a petite brunette with rosy lips, a constant tint of crimson on her cheeks and a sparkle in her blue eyes; I on the other hand am a brunette with a petite body and an average height of 5'5'. My eyes although are the same color as my sister's look a bit different. They lack the sparkle in it.
"Honey, I'm home!" shouted a very shrill high pitched voice accompanied by a giggle.
Ah, so the devil's home from school.
"In the kitchen."I holler back.
"What's for dinner?" two tiny arms wrap around my legs from behind blowing a raspberry on my bare thigh making me almost giggle. Almost.
"Mac and cheese with double vegetable and mayo sandwich and orange juice." I say knowing this was her favorite.
"I love you, Vi! You're the best!" that brings a small smile on my face.
"So how was your visit to the park with your friend, Lee?" I ask knowing that her I wouldn't be speaking for quite sometime now.
She and Madeline her friend were very close with one another and she practically lived at Maddy's house these days, but I didn't mind because even if she stayed here she would be greeted by an empty house.
