Flint raised his hand, a signal that the Atlisian army had been waiting for. On cue, hundreds of Atlisian androids quickly jumped out.
"Well. Seems like you came prepared." Xavier said, raising his hands above his head. His thugs did the same quickly, a scared look crossing their faces.
Then Xavier rushed forward, his fist aimed at Flint.
---
"What happened then, Mommy!?" A little girl demanded loudly. Her mother kneeled beside her bed, smiling at her. The little girl leaned forward, enjoying the story her mother was telling.
"Well.... Then Flint fought back. He used kicks and punches, blocking Xavier's attacks with his bare hands. He was.... He was amazing, the way he perfectly read Xavier." The mother replied.
"But.... Did F-Fin win? The little girl stammered slightly.
"It's Flint, honey. And yes. He won in the end."
"Where is Flint now?" The mother paused, a sad expression cutting across her face.
"I... I don't know." Cinder replied sadly. She suddenly felt a slight change in the air, just the sudden shift in the atmosphere. Her daughter, the little girl named Emilia Lockryder, gasped.
"You're about to." A male responded behind her, wrapping his arms around her waste.
"Flint!?"
"The one and only." The male replied, smiling. His daughter quickly jumped from her bed, throwing the small blankets away from her and rushing to hug her father.
"Wow, you've grown!" Flint said, easily picking his daughter up.
"But Mommy said you wouldn't be back until you..... What was it again, Mommy?" The little girl asked, turning her head to Cinder.
"Until he killed all the bad beasts." Cinder replied.
"Did you, Daddy?"
"I did, Emilia. I did."
---
"How long are you staying for this time?" Cinder replied, taking a drink from her cup of coffee.
"Not long. Just another couple of minutes." Flint replied simply.
"I see...."
"Don't worry. I'll be back soon. I'm just going to say hi to some friends and then I'll come back." Flint rose from his place, walking to the door. He paused, as if thinking about saying something.
"My job's done, Cinder. I can finally come home. For good."
-6 Months Later-
"Flint?" Cinder asked quietly. They both sat by the fireplace, in the plush velvet couch that faced the beautiful flames.
"Yeah?" Flint replied quietly. He was becoming drowsy, sleep calling to him desperately.
"Emilia is 5 years old now...."
"Okay?"
"She's going to have a sister."
