~Trigger warning~

Kellin's POV

"Come one, Vic answer the phone. Come on! Please, please, please," I mutter to myself. When he doesn't answer, I grab my car keys and go to the place I first met him: A valley close to my house.

Flashback:

As I get closer to my special tree, I can hear sobs. I walk faster and see a man leaning against my tree. He couldn't be too much older than me.

He has shoulder length brown curly hair and brown eyes filled with tears. I gasp as I see what's in his hand: a noose.

"Are you okay?" I ask him. He shakes his head.

"Please get out so I can do the world a favor," he says, looking at the noose. I walk up to him and wrap my arms around his small frame. He flinches at the touch, but soon relaxes.

"What's your name?" I ask him.

"Vic," he says.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful person," I say to him, smiling. I try taking the noose out of his hand, but he tightens his grip on it.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" He asks.

"Because no one deserves to die like this. Come with me, I can help you. Please," I beg.

"I'm sorry, but no one can help me. Besides, I don't even know your name," He says.

"I'm Kellin," I say, holding my hand out for him to help him stand up. Surprisingly, he takes it.

"Please come with me, trust me I can help," I say. He hesitantly nods.

"I know how you feel, you know," I say as we walk back.

"What do you mean?" he asks.

"When I was younger, my cousin and his friends took my best friend out here and killed him. Ever since then I've had multiple suicide attempts. I self harm. But now I realize how it isn't really and truly helping anything," I say. He looks shocked.

"I'm so sorry that happened to you," he says as we finally get to my house.

"You live alone?" he asks. I nod.

"You can stay with me as long as you need," I say.

Flashback over

Vic and I started dating 4 weeks after I met him. It's been 3 years. We helped each other stop cutting.

Today we had gotten in a fight though. I was being stupid and over-dramatic which is why I'm currently in this situation.

As I pull up to our tree, I see him hanging. I let out a sob as I run to cut him down.

I take out the pocket knife I brought and start cutting the rope. His limp body falls into my arms. I set his head down on my lap. I already called 911 before I left the house. I knew he would do this, even though he promised he wouldn't.

"Vic, please don't go. I can't do this on my own. You know I'm nothing without you. I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have over reacted," I say, even though he can't hear me.

I hear the sirens in the distance and wrap my arms tighter around Vic.

The paramedics try prying me off of Vic, and eventually succeed. They check his pulse and look at me sympathetically.

"He's gone. I'm so sor-" I cut him off by putting my hand up. I stand up and run. I just keep running until I get to my house.

I go upstairs and open the top drawer where I keep my gun. I take it out, still crying.

I put it to my head and pull the trigger. Darkness soon takes over.

A/N Jfc, sorry to start off this oneshot book with such a depressing story. I promise most of them won't be as sad and heart wrenching.
