Katherine Van der Visser had a million thoughts runnning through her head as the large wooden gates opened. She took in a deep breath and walked forwards. Her long white dress flowed behind her, every step feeling heavier than before. Heads turned as she walked past, some faces filled with awe, some filled with disdain. Her heart felt heavy and her eyes brimmed with tears as she neared the end. Her eyes locked with the man in front of her, his grey eyes fixated on her every move. She took in a breath.

"Friends and Family of the Bride and Groom. We are gathered here today to celebratea very special love between Alastair Smith and Katherine Van der Visser."

Words continued to echo in my head and  my heart started to beat faster and faster. My palms started to shake and all of a sudden, I turned around and ran. I ran down the aisle as gasps and screams as my heels clicked on the wooden floor. I burst through the wooden door, a burst of sunlight shone against my eyes. I heard footsteps running behind me. Thankfully I found a cab and rushed into it.

"Where to Miss."

"Uh, I'm not sure but can you please just drive"

"Alright Miss"

I let out a sigh and wiped my forehead.

"So Miss, if you don't mind me asking, why are you in a wedding dress?"

I didn't what to say. I couldn't really say that I ran away from my wedding to a complete stranger could I?

"Well, I like to um, I mean um I was at my friend's house and um - wait! Just stop here, this is my stop. Thank you."

Before he could say anything, I jumped out of the car and ran inside the apartment building.
