It was finally Tuesday, the day of happiness, the day of freedom, the day that's one step closer to the weekend, the day of - you get my point. If only school started on a Tuesday, that way we wouldn't hate Mondays. But would that mean we'd end up hating Tuesdays? Maybe school is better off on a Wednesday.
Yeah.
I strolled down the hallway aimlessly, passing Tyler, who leaned against a wall and flirted with two blonde girls, making them swoon at everything he said. The ultimate player. He looked at me and winked, I just grinned at him, shaking my head, somebody is going to definitely have an eventful night.
I went over to my first class, not before receiving some disgraceful comments from Brittany and the other cheerleaders. I'll never understand her obsession with poor Tyler. The second they saw him with the two girls, they attacked them like vultures with their prey. And they're the ones at the top of the supposed social class, when they don't deserve to be at the bottom of my boot.
To be honest, it's just Queen Brittany who's the self obsessed mean girl. She makes Regina George seem like an angel. The others goons just follow her footsteps, after all, she is head cheerleader and on top of every clique. She got dirt on each and every one, how, we don't know. People say she got detectives spying on us, others say she got superhuman powers to read our minds and learn our deepest darkest secrets, while I, think she is an absolutely fake, plastic doll.
As the hours passed on, slower than usual if you ask me, it was finally lunch time. My favourite subject. Everyone already left before me. Considering the fact that I was getting lectured at by our History teacher. Apparently, I have to do my homework to pass the year. Can you believe that?
Lies, I tell you.
Lies!
Before I made my way to the cafeteria, I heard a group of guys, arguing in the next hallway, lockers being slammed, things getting pushed over, a huge racket being made. The nosey person I am, I went on over to see what the commotion was about. I stopped short and gasped, seeing what was happening before my eyes. Tyler and his two henchmen, Ryan and Ethan, shoved a guy around, kicking around his notes and backpack. What shocked me more was the boy - That tutor guy.
"Where do you think you're going, prick?" Ryan taunted, grabbing hold of the back of his collar.
"More than me, you should go back to the hell hole you came from." NerdBoy spat back, his fists curled into a ball. He could definitely fight back, the question is, why wouldn't he?
Ryan pulled him ahead so they were facing each other at the same eye level. "Tut. Tut. Ever considered manners?"
"Ever considered breath mint?" I tried to hold back my laughter. Damn, the nerd was on fire!
"Let's see how cocky you get when my fist comes flying to your face."
And that's my cue.
I marched over to them, my blood beginning to boil. I glared at Ethan, NerdBoy right behind me. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" I yelled, not even bothering if the entire school heard me right now. I hated school fights, absolutely detested them. They were immature and pointless. "If you want to make a scene, I suggest you go join the drama club."
"Alexis, move it. This is between us and Zach. Don't poke your nose in."
"I will poke my nose where I want to. You better leave before you lose your baby maker." We had a stare down, until he slowly backed away and calling out to Ryan, as they left their tails between their legs.
Ha! Scaredy cats.
I turn around to face a very pissed off Tyler. "Do you always have to do this?"
