If anyone's wondering or confused, I will be switching back and forth between POV's based on where we're at in the story. Obviously sometimes when Klaus is around Marcel will need to tell the story because Caroline's pretty clueless about what's really going on.
Marcel
I wake up, the sun shining on my face causing me to squint a bit. My eyes glance to the girl wearing just underwear and my shirt I let her borrow, which fell loosely to her thighs. Her eyes were closed, soft snores arising from her parted lips. She was quite beautiful, although it was just an act and I keep having to remind myself I'm with Rebekah. I can see how Klaus fell for her so easily.
I let the girl rest, checking her phone briefly. I need to make sure no one is suspicious of anything. It could ruin everything.
Elena: I don't get it... Is something wrong? Are you okay?
Elena: Please talk to me
Elena: Care, I'm worriedI quickly send out a text as if I were the girl.
Caroline: I'm fine Elena, don't worry. The guy Marcel was my old friend. He's going through some stuff and he needs help for a few months. I'll miss you but I'll be back soon. XoXo
I then hide her phone in a drawer, getting out of bed. My phone buzzes as I grab a blood bag from the fridge.
Rebekah: Klaus wants to see you. He's getting impatient Marcel.
I roll my eyes. Even when she helps me plan his misery, she'll always be on his side. I don't get her. Actually, I don't get any of them. She deserves so much more than what her brother puts her through. He uses her, and when he doesn't need her anymore, he stabs a stake into her heart until he needs her again. I shiver just at the though of him.
I sigh, finishing off my bloody breakfast before tossing the small bag. I change into some fresh clothing, swinging the door open before I hear a small voice.
"Where are you going so early in the morning?" Shit.
I turn around, faking a smile. I'm not used to having someone around constantly. Usually when Rebekah slept the night, she always slept in and never questioned me on anything.
"I have some unfinished business I need to get done... You can wait here, right?" I ask. Caroline sighs, pushing a strand of blonde hair from her face.
"I'm coming with you. I feel like I've been trapped in this apartment for ages," she rolls her eyes.
"Caroline-" I begin to protest but she interrupts me.
"I won't take no for an answer Marcel. C'mon, I'll be careful. Promise."
"It's really boring," I continue to try and persist.
"I don't care," she argues back, being stubborn. I huff, rolling my eyes. I guess Klaus will have to figure out were "together" one way or another. I send a quick text to Rebekah.
Marcel: Caroline's coming with me to see Klaus. Wish me luck.
I don't bother looking at her reply, staring back at the young woman.
"Fine. You can come with me," I give in. She squeals in excitement, quickly changing into some clothes which actually were Rebekah's, but what I made her seem to believe they were hers.
"So what are we doing exactly?"
"Going to see an old friend of mine. I think you might know him actually."
"Oh yeah, what's this old friend's name?" She smiles, her interest rising.
"You'll find out soon enough."
Klaus
"You said he was coming."
"Be patient Nicklaus, he is," Rebekah seems timid, nervous almost. I squint my eyes, attempting to study her. I figure she's just annoyed I made her come with me to see her ex.
"Come on Marcel," I whine impatiently after awhile passes. Finally, I hear footsteps, smirking.
"So nice of you to join us," I greet, already knowing Marcel was here. I am beyond surprised when I turn around to not only see one person.
"Klaus?"
Caroline.
