If you live in the state of Texas, are a TCU baseball fan, or if you watch college baseball (especially the College World Series) then you have heard of Micah Ahern, a little boy who became a mascot for the TCU baseball team. He's known as Superhero Micah. This little boy battled Neuroblastoma for a very long time and sadly, his long and hard fight came to an end on July 28, 2016. He was 7 years old and touched the lives of so many, myself included. This little boy loved TCU baseball so much and the team cared about him. He got to come to games and meet them and he was too sick to go to Omaha this year for the College World Series, so they honored him. They play for him every game. The guys on that team have said that they lost a teammate yesterday, and he will forever be thier superhero. He taught people to live life to the fullest no matter what you're going through. His friends and family are mourning today, but Micah is no longer hurting. He's with God and he's playing baseball Up There right now. Cancer did not win this battle, Micah did. He did this by creating a legacy and touching so many lives. He is a true superhero who is now flying high and watching over everyone he impacted. Thank you for showing us how to live life to the fullest, Micah.
Heaven gained a Superhero yesterday, and a 7 year old boy with a love for TCU baseball left behind a legacy.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (NIV) says,
"'Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."Death does not have the victory in this situation, God does. By bringing this little boy Home, He left behind a legacy and an inspiration to many. God's plan for Micah is clear today: Micah became a Superhero and made his mark on the world. Fly high, Micah.
Please pray for everyone impacted by Micah's death, especially his friends, family, and the TCU baseball team. Micah holds a spot in all of our hearts, but especially theirs. Pray for all families with children battling this vicious form of cancer. Pray for them to seek comfort in God and to know He's got a plan.
