This story takes place in the Buttercups AU, one made by yours truly.
In this AU, Chara attempted to stop Frisk from doing the genocide run, but at what cost?
Once Frisk took care of Flowey, Chara approached them. And, well, that story is to be told.
In this AU, Chara looks a tad different. I'll post a ref when I can.
Chara corrupts Frisk's save file as punishment for the genocide run.
The characters look somewhat different to, with the body part that most resembles their personality dripping with a strange ooze...it reminds you of an unpleasant moment with Chara... (with the exception of Napstablook and Mettaton).
What will happen? You'll have to stay tuned for that.
I guess when referring to the characters (in fanart and such) you can refer to them as "Buttercup!Character" or "Corrupt!Character"
