''So we lay in the dark, we've got nothing to say.
Just the beating of hearts, like two drums in the gray.
I don't know what we're doing, I don't know what we've done.
But the fire is coming,
so I think we should run.''
She watches him flicker his closed eyes with an over exposed frown that is all too strong for her to just let be. Gently, oh so gently she moves closer to him moving her hand to his face. Caressing his cheek, that rosy cheek who she has grown to love so much. All too much. As he reacts to her gently touch she snatch away from him, not wanting him to wake up. Since she knew that they weren't allowed to do this. It was a crime, but she was so willing to break the rules. Just so she could touch his cheek one more time, just so she could have the only thing in the world she longs for so much, him, just so she could be his and he could be hers. Desperation rules over her, desperation of wanting to be with him, desperation so strong that she would rather die than to be with someone else but him. To her relief he doesn't wake up, it was just his body answering to the touch. She fondles his hair when she notices his breathing increase, to calm him. As she does, the curly haired boy with the deep green eyes and soft lips tension slackens and she's relieved. Knowing the impact she has on him, the impact they have on each other makes the pit in her stomach tighten. Both of pain, both of happiness. This love, this forbidden love is toxic and she's well aware of the way it'll destroy them both, and he's well aware of it too. They both know that this was never meant to be, but at the same time there isn't anyone else for them than each other. Faith wanted them together, universe and society didn't. The girl frowns as she thinks about this forbidden, horrifying, self harming love that has no other than a tragic end, if they don't act. There's only one way for this love that is venom, one way that's impossible for them since they will lose everything besides each other.
and that is to run.
Run away from reality, to places where rules don't exist, places where their love will be the only thing that matters and no one will be there to stop them. Leave everything behind and never look back. If they would be able to do that. If they ran, they would never see anyone they knew besides each other. Never again; and would their young hearts be able to choose such a decision? Such a tempting choice but oh such a risk of a choice.
She examines his tormenting face as she has done so many times before. Every part of him makes her suffer but at the same time he makes her high, like a drug she can not get enough of. Even though his face is suffering it is still somewhat beautiful and she adores him for that. It is these moments that they both long for. When no one can tell them anything. Sleeping has become the waken moments of their lives, since nothing can compare to the moments where they are together and nowadays all they can do without getting caught is sleeping at their hiding place. The place only they know of. It's their getaway, but they know this can not last forever. If they still want this, this poisonous love. They have to do so much more than to just hide. They can not live while their asleep, since they are not living in a dream they need to wake up. Make a choice. What it will be is something neither of them know.
