Soul's Point of View

It's a few minutes until the start of the new day when the boy finally sees the train. His tired mind lights up in excitement as he looks for a place to land so he can go in and find you. He's sure you can both fit on the board, but he figures you could also wait until the next stop and you could both ride a train back together.

He rolls his eyes as he realized he can easily get on the train from the platform at the back. It takes him about forty-five minutes to finally be close enough that he can reach for the rails on the platform. Grabbing the rail, he turns off top speed on the board, testing to see if it'll stay under his feet.

With a sleepy smirk. He lightly placed his bag in the safe part of the platform and uses his newly free hand to curl his fingers over the side of the board. Shuddering from the cold of the night, he places a foot in between the railing, then his other. He hoists a leg over the rail and turns off the board, stowing the board into his bag and placing it close to the wall so it'll be harder to notice.

At least until he finds you.

Then, he can explain, beg you to stay, and you can hide him in your cabin. But he'll do it in a cool way. Shaking his head, he opens the door and steps in.

He figures he could make a pretty good spy, stepping quietly so he doesn't wake anyone. Until he realizes, he has no clue which room is yours. He lets out a quiet groan.

Well, as quiet as one can assume they are after temporarily being deafened by the wind.

An old lady stirs from her sleep after hearing quite a loud sound. Confused, she goes to investigate. She knows it won't be you, you've jumped off of a train in the middle of a desert. It's dangerous out there, and she hopes you're doing alright.

She opens the door to her room and sees a boy, sliding down a wall and tucking his face into his knees. This action makes her smile warmly, it reminds her of another time. She walks over to the boy, who hasn't heard her yet, taking in his appearance. His clothes are mussed and so is his hair, which happens to be silver. After your description, she thinks she knows this boy, taking a seat beside him and smiling a fraction wider, glad to see what he thinks of you.

Soul could hear a light thump next to him and he saw a slight shift in the darkness. His head shoots up, startled. The old lady let out a chuckle, cautious of her volume.

"Are you looking for Y/n?" Said sweet old Priscilla. Soul couldn't hear too well at the time and just continues to stare at the woman. She smiles and stares ahead. "You know, you and Y/n remind me of my wife and I at some moments," she says,

"You go great distances to see each other once again. My wife was very impulsive and it led her to go live in another world, maybe another reality I suppose. Please make sure you look out for one another. Remember, misunderstandings can be solved with communication," She ended her words in a soft voice.

He had caught most words, but not all. He could piece it together. He didn't know this woman, but she seemed cool. The old woman seemed to know a bit about your situation and his. He appreciated her advice to him and gave her a smile. He now also knew that you have been here, and this lady knows who and probably where you are.

"You don't happen to know where Y/n is now, do you?" Soul asked. She turned her head back to him, but she looked concerned. His smile faded as she told him what you had done, and how she worried for you.

Soul thanked her for taking the time to tell him and helped her up. He walked back out towards the platform be landed on about 30 minutes earlier. He too a few seconds to stare at the moonlit sand passing by with furrowed brows, the warmth he had gathered leaving him with a shiver. He thinks about the scream he thought he imagined earlier, the feeling of worry and anxiety clawing it's way back in. He feels so uncool. Gathering his belongings as quietly as he could, he left the same way he boarded.

Your Point of View

You had lost quite a bit of blood. It had stopped bleeding a while back, but you kept stumbling and caking your wounds in sand. You shivered in the night, wondering if you should stop and rest. You searched around you for anything you might be able to start a fire with. You found nothing, so you kept walking.

Eventually, now shivering madly, you had picked up enough sticks and dry plants to get a fire going. At least for a while. But you found out that starting a fire while shivering so bad was insanely hard to do.

It had taken you at least an hour. With tears that would not come, and silent cries with a voice you had lost, you finally had gotten a fire. It was so warm. After the day you've had you thought maybe you would hate the heat forever, and yet here you were.

You thought about civilizations of people, and how they were able to live in deserts just fine, and it made you feel upset with yourself. But invalidating your own feelings was awful, since you're the only voice you've had for many hours. You tried to do the opposite and remind yourself that you're doing your best all on your own.

With that bit of pep, you struggled to stand so you could go look for more sticks to keep the fire going. Fortunately for you, this area had quite a few dead plants, and you were sure you could last until the sun comes up. You decided to save your water and drink later. You only had three and a half bottles left and a long way to go.

Feeding the flames, you flopped down into the sand and finally fell asleep.

Soul's Point of View

He had top speed on in ten minute increments once he found a spot that he recognized from his way there. Figuring it would be easier to find you this way, he knew it would conserve power for the rest of the way back.

The sun was finally beginning to rise. The boy pulled his hoodie tighter, the night combined with the wind chill had him shivering. He wondered how you were doing. He might as well not think about it too much, he's very hopeful that he's going to see you soon.

The light of the sun began to touch the land, but blue shadows still remained. His eyes grew tired seeing the same thing as he followed the railroad. Then, he saw flickering. At first he thought maybe it was just the sun, and it had died off.

A few minutes later, he realized there was black smoke in the air, a sign of a dormant fire. His eyes widened and he searched the ground, seeing a figure laying in the sand.

Excitement, nervousness, and worry found their way back into him as he lowered the board. Were you alright? The boy didn't know, but he was going to make sure that you would be. His face held a grin, but the closer he got to the ground, the closer to you, it formed a smile.

He landed near your sleeping form and relief came over him in waves. The sun had finally reached a point where it could bring light to both of your faces. However, the shine of the sun could not compare to the shine he had in his eyes paired with his shark toothed smile.

But he would never tell you that.
