Chapter 14

"Ally?"

"Niall..." We stood there staring at each other. Holy shit. I can't believe it. My best friend is standing here, right in front of me. The one that I left with out saying goodbye five years ago. I'm literally frozen.

"...You guys know each other?"

"Uh, yeah," Niall said, shaking his head, "we were neighbors when ally lived in Ireland. Like next door neighbors."

"Why didn't you tell us that?!" Louis shouted in my ear.

"I didn't know that Niall was this Niall!" I shouted back at him.

And there was that awkward silence again.

"So.. How you been?" Niall asked me. Man this was so awkward with the boys here...

"We'll give you some privacy so you can catch up," Liam said. The other boys left Niall and I alone in this room.

"Look I'm really sorry-"

"I really missed y-" We spoke at the same time. "You first," I said.

"I've missed you so much, Ally. Like so much... Why didn't you let me say goodbye?" I could see tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry Niall. It's just I didn't feel like I would've left you if I saw you one last time..."

"You didn't have to," he mumbled. I looked up at him, making eye contact. His face was just killing me inside. I can't believe I'm the one who did this to him. I'm horrible.

He pulled me into his arms, slowly, making sure it was okay. I wrapped my arms around his neck, burying my face into his shoulder. I inhaled his scent, the one that I fell in love with. ...Ally that's creepy. Nah, it's okay. Whatever.

"I missed you too Nialler," I whispered. I brought my head up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Although those feelings I had for him may have went away, it doesn't mean I can't care about him at all. I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing him quite a bit in the next little while. And even if my parents don't like it, I'm an adult now. No need for permission. I can do what is right for me, and what can bring this friendship back together.
