The morning sun crept into the shared bedroom of Michael and Naja. Michael pried one eye open seeing the light for the first time today. He turned his head glancing at the beautiful girl sleeping peacefully beside him, the love of his life; his girlfriend.

He took in her features, marveling over her darker skin and plump lips before pressing a kiss to her forehead and quietly leaving the bed.

Michael walked over to his nightstand and picked up his phone, mindlessly scrolling through Twitter and Instagram, putting his phone down soon after. He made his way into the bathroom, completing his morning routine before coming back in the room.

Naja rolled over onto her back sighing before stretching and sitting up.

"Morning baby," Michael said walking over to the mirror fixing his hair.

"H-Hey Mikey," she smiled softly looking over at the clock.

"D-Did you s-sleep well?" She asks rubbing her hazel eyes.

"Yeah." He says turning to face her.

"Did you sleep well?" He asks her back and Naja nods her head.

"Do you have school today?" Michael says leaning against the dresser.

"Yes," Naja nodded, climbing out of bed and over to the chair where she put her clothes out last night, ironed, and neatly folded.

"I'm going to make breakfast, you want cereal right?" Michael asks.

"Yes." Naja responds before going in the bathroom and taking a shower.

Twenty minutes later, Naja came into the kitchen struggling to button her last few buttons on her shirt.

"M-Mikey," she whimpered becoming frustrated with the buttons. "I c-can't do it." Her eyes welled up with tears.

Michael walked over to the girl and stood in front of her. "Yes you can." Michael says in a calm tone. "You can't get frustrated so quickly."

"B-but I c-can't do it!" She began to cry.

"Naja Marie, breathe." Michael said as he tried to calm her down. "Look, your buttons aren't even in the right spot, princess." He smiled.

Naja looked down at her shirt noticing that Michael was right.

"I'm s-so s-stupid," She said to herself. "I c-can't even b-button my own sh- shirt."

"You're not stupid. I want you to stop saying that about yourself. Just because it may take you a little longer to do something or learn something, doesn't make you stupid. You're the smartest person that I know. So please princess, don't put yourself down. Promise?" Michael said looking Naja in her eyes.

"Okay." She said and Michael held his pinky out, like how she normally would to keep her promises. Naja hooked her pinky around Michael's and then let go.

"Now eat your breakfast so you won't be hungry."

-

"Let me know if anyone gives you any problems." Michael says as Naja takes off her seatbelt.

"Okay." She said leaning over and kissing Michael's cheek.

"I love you." He whispered, in her ear.

"I-I love you t-too." She said and got out of the car.

Naja made her way to her locker and got out her books for her morning classes.

"How do you keep it so organized?" Jade, Naja's best friend said.

"I-I don't like i-it when it's m-messy." Naja closed her locker and placed her backpack on her back.

Naja and Jade made their way to their first class of the day which was calculus. Naja absolutely loved math and was extremely good at it.

"G-Good Morning, Ms. Harris." Naja said taking her seat, which was in the front near her teacher's desk.

"Good Morning Naja." She said back with a warm smile on her face.

"Naja, what're you doing Friday night?" Jade asked.

"I-I don't know."

"There's a party and I was wondering if you want to go with me." Naja looked at her friend with a puzzled expression.

"C'mon, it'll be fun, there's gonna be drinks and cute college boys, and-"

"J-Jade we're not o-old enough to drink, a-and I a-already h-have a boy-boyfriend, M-Mikey."

"Michael is too old for you sweetheart."

"I'm e-eighteen and he's tw-twenty."

"You should be with someone your age." Jade presses.

"G-Guys my age t-think I'm w-weird. P-Plus, you s-said that th-there would be c-college b-boys. M-Michael is not g-gonna let me g-go w-with you to a p-party." Naja says as she flips open the textbook.

"I was here before Michael, I was there throughout your whole life, I was there when you got hurt and helped you through your injury, and your condition, and when your parents died, and I will always be here throughout the rest of your life. Michael is temporary, and he's gonna drop you when someone better comes along." Jade sneered, soon regretting what she said.

Naja shook her head. "Wh-Why would you say that?!" She said with disbelief, eyes filling with tears.

"Na, I'm so sorry-" Jade tried to apologize.

"Y-You're not sorry!" Naja stood up.

"What's going on?" The teacher said looking up at the two.

"Jade! What did you do?"

"Nothing, I swear!" Jade put her hands up in defense.

Naja left the classroom and headed to the bathroom and sat down in the corner of the big stall.

She quickly pulled her phone out her pocket and began to dial Michael's number.

"Princess what's wrong?" Michael said in a panicked tone.

"J-Jade i-is a-always  m-mean to me and h-hurts my f-feelings."

"What happened?"

Jade explained what happened in the classroom less than five minutes ago.

"Princess, you're right, of course I'm not letting you go to a party because I feel like she's gonna forget about you and there's no telling what will happen to you, okay?"

"O-Okay."

"As far as me leaving, that's not true at all, I love you and only you, I love everything about you and if she can't see that herself then that's her problem. She shouldn't be holding things that you can't fix over your head like that. If she keeps doing it, then she's not your friend, you understand?"

"Y-Yes."

"Okay, now go back to class and I'll see you after school okay?"

"O-Okay, I love you."

"I love you too, princess."
