"1 BILLION!" A voice resonated throughout the auction hall.

*BANG* "Sold, to number 4!"

A Few Hours Earlier....
"Kuroko! Oi, Kuroko!" My best friend, Kagami Taiga, yelled once more.

I blinked my eyes, shaking my head slightly as I looked back up at my friend as we both stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. "Ah...What is it, Kagami-kun....?" I tilted my head slightly.

"Whattya mean what's up?! I've been trying to get your attention for the past like 5 minutes!" Kagami huffed at me childishly.

I mentally sighed, giving a small nod. "Gomenasai." I apologized with a curt now. Kagami then sighed, scratching his head. "Geez. You don't always gotta be that formal, Kuroko." The tiger—which he really does resemble—ruffled my hair. "Ah, we've made it." He said as we now stood outside of a convenience store.

I gave him a bow before nodding. "Thank you, Kagami-kun. I'm going to go in alone, so I'll see you tomorrow."

"Oi....You sure, Kuroko? I've heard about a bunch of kidnappings recently and you know I get a bit worried." The redhead warned, voicing his concern. He really is my best friend....

"I'm fine, Kagami-kun. Trust me." I said simply. He looked me deeply in the eyes before sighing. "Ah, geez. Just be careful." He huffed and ruffled my hair once more before turning on his heel. "I get worried, you know." He finished before walking off and disappearing.

[PoV Switch]
Little did Kuroko know, there was already a set of eyes one him, following him into the store...

Kuroko sighed as he had finally gotten all of his items for his groceries and put them into the basket. After checking out, he exited the store and soon heard something. He paused in his tracks for a moment down the sidewalk; he was used to observing people, and his hearing seemed more enhanced than most people's. Ever so slowly, he turned around to face a man in all black clothes directly a few feet behind him. "Excuse me, but what are you doing following me?" He asked in a monotone voice, blank face on. Deep inside though, his heart was pounding rapidly. He desperately wanted to run away, yet his legs seemed frozen as the unknown man made his way to him.

Almost in an instant, the man was behind him with a knife to his neck, pulling him into an abandoned alleyway between two older shops. Quietly, he whispered, "You have two options: Die right now, or come with me."

Tetsuya's breath hitched as he stayed completely still, not wanting to be cut and possibly die. He gulped ever so quietly. "Where....are you taking me?"

"That's something you don't need to know." The man snickered as he pressed it a bit more against him, but not enough to make a cut. Yet.

"F.....Fine." The bluenette finally agreed. He didn't want to die. His heart pleading to live and be released from this awful situation. He wanted Kagami-kun. Oh, why hadn't he been even more careful like Kagami had said....?

"Good choice." The black-clothed man nodded, Kuroko practically hearing the smirk as a cloth was suddenly pressed against Kuroko's mouth.

Soon enough....all went black.
