*SHE REALISED IT*..(A SMALL STORY)
-----------------------------------
You never know how unexpected life can be.Within a moment your life changes forever, turning your world upside down.
This world is full of unexpectations, you never know whats gonna happen next.In a moment you are alive and the very next moment you could be dead.
Sounds scary??..Isn't it??
But thats the harsh reality. The reality which is known by everyone but very few have the guts to accept it.
Often its seen that we keep cribbing about everything,no matter how much we achieve..still we are never satisfied. We just want to keep climbing the ladders of success forgetting that how many precious things we have left behind us.We forget that the urge to excel in life had made us insensitive and ignorant towards our family, friends and everyone who values and loves us!..We never realise that we are missing those little beautiful moments which can give us much more pleasure than those materialistic achievements.
And when the reality hits us hard and we fall back harshly, the only ones who come for our rescue are the ones whom we always kept hurting and ignoring.
It happened with HER too!
She was a young girl, full of life and enthusiasm. She had big dreams in her big brown eyes. She was blessed with everything.A perfect combo of beauty with brains and the only girl child of her doting parents.Life had been pretty good for her.But all these pamperings and attention had spoilt her a lot.She had become self obsessed and self centred. She had an attitude of I,ME AND MYSELF.Nothing else mattered to her.She lived in a world where only "her" happiness mattered, only "her" dreams were important and the worst part was that even her parent's love made her feel suffocated. She always used to crib about this.
"You know what,my parents are so over protective.I just don't want to stay with them anymore".
She always used to complain about her parents in front of her friends.
Their love was termed as suffocation!
(Sadly,Most of the youngsters think this way.)
But sometimes,a small incidence is enough to open your eyes and so an incident changed HER forever.
31st of Oct ' 2013 , 11:45 pm.
She was busy watching some random show on tv when suddenly her stomach started aching. For few minutes she kept ignoring it with a thought that it will end soon but it kept increasing with the passage of time. She couldn't figure out that how suddenly such severe pain can happen and finally when she couldn't tolerate it anymore, she called up her parents. They came rushing in her room and seeing their daughter in such unbearable they quickly rushed to the hospital.
In a moment everything changed. The environment had changed completely. She was no longer in her cozy fluffy bed but on a hospital bed laying half concious. She could hear her parents calling her but the image was getting blurred. She couldn't respond. That pain was killing her.She kept screaming and crying out of pain.Very soon she felt needles being pierced in her beautiful delicate hands. The medicines where passing through her veins which was very painful but still the pain wasn't subsiding.
She felt as if she would die.Everything flashed in front of her eyes. She realised how happy she was few minutes back. How colourful and vibrant her world was and how lucky she was to get such doting parents. She looked towards her parents who were continuosly talking to the doctors and almost pleading them to get their daughter out of this pain anyhow.
She realised that though those injections and needles were pierced in her veins but her parents felt much more pain seeing her in so much pain. She could see the fear on her parents face, the fear of loosing her.
The medicines had started showing their effect. She was coming back to normal again. The pain was loosing its effect. The tests showed that it was a case of food poisoning but fortunately this food poisoning made her realise everything that she always ignored. It made her realise that appreciating little things in life gives immense pleasure.
A smile on your parents face..a sound sleep on your cozy bed..watching your favourite show..eating your fav dish..Talking with your best friend..making the ones who love you make feel special through your small gestures is something that can actually bring a genuine smile on your charming face.
And she realised it before it was too late!..<3
P.S : A small piece of fiction!
