A few days had passed since Riley and I went to go see Hagrid about the bloody turban Riley had found. There was an obvious change in the teachers' behavior. It seemed as if there was some dark secret behind the turban and the child that had been muted and I planned on finding it out.

I purposely sat myself at the front of the Slytherin table just so I would be closer to the professors' table. They were quieter than I expected them to be. As I looked down the table I noticed that Professor Slughorn didn't show up for breakfast. Neither had Hagrid.

"Hey Maya," Josh said as he sat down across from me, "Why are you all the way up here?"

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and looked around before saying, "If I tell you will you promise not to say a word?"

"Promise," he spoke with his hand over his heart, "Now what is it?"

I leaned in closer to him, "There's something strange going on here at Hogwarts."

Josh raised his eyebrow, "Everything going on here is a bit strange."

"That's not what I mean," I lowered my voice, "Riley found a bloody turban that said 'The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir beware.' Then Riley and Cassie found a basilisk skin and now Samantha Grace was muted... None of that seems normal to me."

Josh was shocked, "So you're saying someone opened the Chamber of Secrets and let out the basilisk?" I shook my head. He continued, "I want to see this turban."

"We don't have it anymore."

"What? Who has it?"

"Hagrid"

"That oaf?" he raised his voice, "How did he get it?"

I dropped my head to avoid eye contact, "Riley and I went to ask him about it."

"Why the hell would you do that?!" Josh stared at me with piercing look that gave me shivers as I continued to avoid eye contact. After a few moments of silence he spoke, "Listen, I didn't mean to yell but why would you turn it over to the adults?"

I brought my head up, "What would I have done with it? I don't know anything about the Chamber of Secrets."

Josh folded his hands, "Well lucky for you, I do. And we're going to have to get that turban back." He had a smirk on his face, one that I couldn't resist. "You in?"

"What do you think?" I smiled.

"So next week you're transferring over to Slytherin?"

Cassie sighed, "Yeah. I guess I was sort of requested."

"That's awesome. I'm sure your parents are thrilled... But what about me? You're my only friend here in Hufflepuff," I joked.

"You'll still see me," she stated. It was quiet for a few moments as we both awkwardly played with the food on our plated. Then, she continued, "Do you think we're in danger? You know... because of the basilisk skin."

I scratched my neck and just as I was about to reply, the daily mail came flying in. I didn't expect much more then a newspaper because my family was close enough to just visit. Not to mention that my father was a professor here.

I was truly surprised when a letter dropped in front of me. As I flipped it over to the front side, I noticed a there was a gorgeous daisy tied to it.
